Frequently Asked Questions About StyleSafe Bath & Shower Accessibility Mobility
Do you have to tear apart my entire bathroom?
No. We focus primarily on the wet area only. We can custom make a replacement bathtub or shower specifically for your space and can complete an installation in as little as one or two days.
Where are your products made?
Our products are manufactured here in the U.S.A, just outside of Chicago, Illinois at our Libertyville manufacturing plant.
I’m interested in getting a quote on a liner?
We would be happy to send a Design Consultant out to do an inspection on your bathroom and see what the best installation option is. We used to install tub liners and found over the years that they were failing pretty often. The majority of the time, it’s best to tear out the existing tub and make sure the subfloor is dry and all the plumbing is good underneath. It takes us the same amount of time to install a new tub as it did to install a liner.
Does your company do full bathroom remodeling?
We sure do! We have the ability to do a number of different things in the bathroom, but we are primarily “Wet Area Experts.” So, if we don’t do a tub/shower remodel, we wouldn’t work on the rest of the bathroom. However, if you have us do the tub/shower area we can help with everything else!
How long does the installation take?
We can have the wet area installation completed in as little as one or two days. The remaining days are all dependent on what we’re remodeling in the rest of bathroom.
What are these bathtubs/showers/wall systems made of?
Our products are made out of a “high-tech polymer” that is non-porous, which means there aren’t any holes in it for mold, mildew, dirt and soap scum to stick in, like with tile and grout. Other companies have products made out of Porcelain, Fiberglass or Tile & Grout, which are all porous materials, which is why it’s so difficult to clean them. Our Design Consultant will bring out samples and is happy to go over them during your Free consultation.
Is it easy to clean?
Yes, it is a non-porous material, which means it doesn’t have any holes in it like fiberglass or tile and grout. Our material won’t collect dirt, mold, mildew, and soap scum. You don’t have to use any harsh chemicals on it either which is a lot safer. If you’ve ever read the back of some of the chemical bottles it might say “if this comes in contact with your skin, call poison control.” Even though it’s a cleaner, there will be residue that you’re bathing in. With our systems you can just use warm soapy water and a washcloth or sponge. Just wipe it down and you’re done. Due to our exclusive partnership with Microban, the tub/shower area will remain cleaner and fresher longer.
What can you use to clean your product?
For normal everyday cleaning, we suggest using “BCI Eliminate.” It is factory-approved distinctly for all of our products. You may also use Formula 409 or a 50/50 vinegar and water mix. The use of scouring pads or abrasive cleansers will dull the surface.
I’m looking for a quote/can you give me a quote on tile & grout walls?
A lot of our customers want to keep the same kind of tile pattern they currently have, but they hate having to scrub and clean the grout lines. At StyleSafe, we aim to meet every customer’s needs, so we offer what’s called “Simulated Tile.” We are able to manufacture the high-tech polymer with a number of different common tile patterns. So, if a customer like yourself loves the look of tile, you can have the look without the maintenance aspect of having to clean the grout. It’s the best of both worlds.
