After about a week of no response while waiting for a final estimate, I heard back from the company that "we do not feel that we can help you with this project." They claimed they could not make the pattern of the carpet line up on the landing. Then they ghosted me on any further correspondence. What kind of customer service is that? They must not need the business. I ended up turning to Kitty Hawk Carpets & Furniture, which installed the same product, matched the pattern perfectly, and promoted the job (and our rental property) on social media.
