Was my second opinion quote. Other unusually high with presumed unnecessary work. The very polite techs explained thoroughly the needs and differences n 2 quotes. Ultimately i chose the Bass explanation. Completed work in timely manner at excellent competive price.

The tech that came to our home, Randy T., was unlike other techs. Not only did he fix our issue, but he provided more value to the service by educating us on the cause of our issue and options we can take to avoid future occurrences. I’m so glad my neighbor referred them to us. I encourage you to do the same!

Nice people but lied multiple times about warranty prices and parts. These lies were confirmed by the actual warranty company on camera and recordings. I will not use the man’s name because he is only doing what they teach him. Bass came in December for the agreed on $100 dollar diagnosis charge and looked at the thermostat that was not properly working. (Bass air confirmed if it was the thermostat it was covered until 2029 but did not relay this to the man who came out for the diagnosis). After confirming the thermostat was faulty, the man from bass told me they don’t have those particular thermostats. He said they have a Honeywell for $400 hundred dollars. I then told him my thermostat is covered under warranty until 2029. He said oh ok let me make a call. He called and verified that part is in stock and said I’ll go pick it up and be right back. He came back in 30 minutes and put it on the wall (no screws ,just clips on wall)and then said it’s a $100 extra warranty charge(so $200 plus tax including diagnosis).I said I don’t like that because it sounds like mumbo jumbo made up prices for so called warranty and it was never discussed but whatever. He said that’s a charge from the warranty company because we actually lose money when things are covered under warranty. This was also repeated by the lady at bass later. I asked him if he takes card or cash he said both. He then tells me $418…..(same price as uncovered Honeywell part) and some change total. I said I don’t think so. I told the man to just clip the old thermostat back on while I call the office. No company in the world is going to do any type of work without disclosing cost. He said it’s $191 labour(to clip it on the wall) $ 100 for diag agreed on, $100 warranty not disclosed but I understand. I called and spoke with 3 different lady’s and the man and the last lady both said the warranty company’s charge them and that’s why the extra $100 and I could dispute the 100 charge with the warranty company. I told them my job is to take care of my wife and 8 kids, not go back and forth with warranty companies. Bass decided to get in the hvac and warranty business, not me. $191 labor for clipping on the wall for a covered part,That’s not happening. I paid thousands out of pocket for the new system and the warranty. I told bass We should keep this internal and bass should bring me the covered part for The extra $100 plus tax like we agreed on.($200 total.not disclosed but agreed on price) so no bad google, Facebook, internet reviews. All good. I told them Hopefully by Tuesday morning 2 weeks ago someone will let me know when they are going bring me the covered part. I could also bring in and switch out part that was already taken out of box put on wall and then taken off again. Also All conversations were on camera outside, hallway, living room so if you have any questions . At that point I will gladly give bass the best reviews but they only responded with a ignorant $1200 dollar bill for the new thermostat and the email said “here is the quote you requested”. But I did not request that. I then went to the actual warranty company in town and picked up my new thermostat at no charge. They said they don’t charge bass any money for the warranty process because bass is a contractor. Save yourself some time and find a honest company to do your work. Bass should have taken the overpriced $200 from me instead of me exposing their lies.

Bass is such a great company with amazing employees. We have had issues with one of our units and they've tried everything they possibly could to keep us from having to replace it. Unfortunately, another person messed it up so badly we have to replace it despite their attempts to help fix it. We couldn't be happier with this company.

I contacted Bass Air with very specific instructions for a simple repair recommended after a mold inspection. The guy I spoke to had a bunch of questions about my system and it felt as though he was trying to gauge how much I knew. He told me that he believed my system was installed incorrectly and that if I had mold in one small part of my system, I probably had it in my ducts as well. It was obvious they saw “mold problem + sick kid” as a payday. The whole interaction felt predatory, so I canceled before they had the chance to upsell me on thousands of dollars of unnecessary work. I just know had I kept the appointment, they would have showed up and convinced me I needed to replace the ducts or buy an air scrubber. Homeowners: be careful. These guys will absolutely try to take advantage of you.
