I was recommended Pence in Smithville, MO from a couple of customers I work with while seeking estimates for a replacement hot water heater. The difference I noted is the family owned company responded to me and answered all my questions promptly and honestly without the "business talk." Dan the installer has a calm, no rush attitude that makes you and the family feel at ease to have him in your house working around the kids. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was satisfactory and in working order not only to my standards but his as well. The price is what they say it is which I'm thankful for, no hidden surprises. They win in most affordable but I would've paid more just for their mannerisms and professionalism. I cannot recommended Pence in Smithville enough and will definitely have them back for any future needs!

We've used Pence Heating and Cooling since we bought our house 5 years ago. They are our go-to for our heating and cooling needs. We just had our heat pump and air handler serviced for the winter and they were out the day after we called for the appointment. They are fast, reliable and always answer any questions we have.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pence Heating and Cooling LLC

How often should I change my air filters?

Air filters should be changed every 1 to 3 months, depending on factors such as filter type, presence of pets, allergies, and system usage. Regular filter changes are important as clogged filters can impede airflow and decrease system efficiency.

What's the difference between a heat pump and an air conditioner?

While both heat pumps and air conditioners provide cooling, heat pumps offer the additional capability of heating. Heat pumps are an energy-efficient choice for moderate climates, operating year-round by reversing refrigerant flow direction.
