The person who did my contact lied about the rebate amount I was going to get back and also lied about the scope of work included on the contract. Now she’s gone and conveniently no one know about anything. My scope was $27,500, I have paid $25,000 One vent in my room doesn’t work and they have sent technicians multiple times and they still don’t fix it. Yet I have to pay the balance. 6 weeks ago one of the furnace systems was not working at all. Took them 3 entire days to make it work. Today i wake up to the same side not working. So the side my children sleep has no heating. I called Anthony and they just told me i have a note on my account I am not to be serviced until the balance is paid. Why would I pay in full for a service that is not completed. Why would I pay if 1/2 the installed systems doesn’t work??! WARNING! Do not use them!!!

I bought a brand new system from this company about a year ago. The furnace had not been touched since it was installed and was working flawlessly. I had them come out to do the yearly maintenance that was required. They did not check the intake pipe for the furnace during this maintenance and marked it as cleaned/checked. That night the system caught a flash ignition of debris that was not cleared from the intake pipe. The system gave an error code and shut down. I had to wait till the next day to have the company come out and reset the system and clean out the intake port. The technician openly stated that it wasn’t done probably because the intake pipe was glued when it didn’t need to be during installation. This same tech left a pressure sensor tube unhooked in the furnace when he left. This was discovered after the system started leaking gas overnight to a point that woke me up across the house to the smell of gas. The system was shut off and the gas was shut off, but again this company doesn’t do overnight service calls in emergencies and I had to wait till the next day to have them return again to figure out why the system is now leaking gas when it shouldn’t be. After acknowledging that this tube was found to be hanging off as I witnessed the tech openly state. “Oh this wasn’t hooked up properly” while holding the black tube. They then proceeded to try and ask me to pay for the service call because they couldn’t smell the gas at the time that they were there. All of this stemming from a system that was working flawlessly before they came out to do a maintenance check and now four days straight I’ve nightly had system failures and a gas leak that filled the entire house and forced me to shut the entire system down. I asked if the only two possible parts that could be defective to cause this issue could just be replaced and they refused to replace the parts if it currently wasn’t being witnessed to malfunction, even though that’s the definition of an intermittent failure.

I was ok with how expensive they are until their latest visit which was a complete waste of money. I had an electrician come out because power had shut off to my swim spa in the middle of a very cold snap. I had them come out on the weekend so it cost me $149 just to get them out. Then as soon as the electrician walked through the door he told me the diagnostic fee would be another $350. He went outside, checked the line and told me it was good. His words, “I believe this is an issue with the swim spa causing breaker to break. Small chance its the breaker itself. It would cost you another $500-$800 for me to replace it, but I think your best bet is to call the swim spa company or you can change the breaker yourself just to rule it out” the problem here is I eventually found out there is a simple way to prove it is the breaker (pull the swim spa off and watch it break) which the swim spa people did first thing. Given the advice of the electrician, I thought better of trying the breaker because it is so expensive to buy, even on my own. But longer story short, it was proven the breaker by the spa company. When i replaced it, it fixed the issue but with no help of Anthony. Complete waste of money. I called to complain but apparently he documented in the visit that he diagnosed it as the breaker, which does not match our discussion. I will never be back.

I didn’t really care for tech attitude when talked to. He from the beginning didn’t listen to me. I pulled into my driveway and stopped the tech and said to wait that I was going into the house. He asked if someone was inside and again I said I am coming in. He when ahead up to the door and rung the doorbell. Then went in and started making holes in my vents. Then I questioned him about it. He said that what we do. It’s to check the airflow. Then told me if you want to call into the office that I could. He could just pack up and leave. I said that I was just asking some questions and wanted to know what he was doing he did it. I could go further with this discussion but I would rather talk to a mgr.

I recognize & give credit to “Donovan” of Anthony Plumbing Hearting Cooling & Electrical (APHCE) for $9,000.00 correctly diagnosed & repaired my circa 1957 cast iron main sewer line root ball blockage with their in line camera, permanently fixing the same line that K.C. Flow Heroes, DBA “Mr. Rooter” incorrectly diagnosed & repaired an unrelated section of below grade PVC line at a cost of $8,500.00, after which having paid them in full, they would NOT return my call on a minor repair. APHCE’s “Donovan” was transparent, as was their “Tech” “Alexander” who thoroughly explained all the work that needed to be done in great detail. Alexander I’d trust w/my house keys, & Donovan was ALWAYS prompt in returning my calls. APHCE may not be the cheapest, but they’ve hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in their hydro jet root cutting equipment, as well as their in line camera equipment, epoxy in line sleeving equipment, and their skilled personnel who’s espirit decorp & morale is indicative of a company that trains & treats them well. Their camera techs worked like “surgeons” locating the sewer line connections buried in our concrete slab home of 68 years, & with great precision they measured out the new epoxy liner that had to be placed like a heart valve “stint” into the old cast iron line. They stand behind their work, & just as you’d wish for a good surgeon for major surgery, you’ll need the latest technology and trained plumbers to diagnose & repair your critical plumbing needs. I wished I’d not wasted our money on the 1st plumber who was selling their franchise because of franchise fees to Become an independent company that incorrectly diagnosed the repair issue, kicking the can down the road, taking my $8K plus & then refusing to return my call. They are one & done…Go with APHCE & get the job done right the first time, & with a company that will be around for the long haul, & be responsive to the customer. Regards, VFW, S. KCMO, aka Martin City.
