I paid $129 for diagnostic visit and was informed that the repair would be another $525.00 to repair a refrigerator. Just to replace the main control board. I will not be calling you again for anything

- BRBob RichterJan 2, 20262.0I called Chesterfield Service to get a technician out to see why my hot water heater was not working. They were very responsive and had a tech, Marcel T.. out same day which was great. Marcel proceeded to tell me that because my unit was ~9 years old, I pretty much needed to consider replacing it. I got four bids - one to replace the thermostat & pilot. Then three more for the good-better-best replacement. They quoted me $3500 and $4300 to replace with a unit I could buy at Menards for $799 & Home Depot for $989. I called my regular plumber and he said the unit is fine. His belief is the pilot on mine went out while we were away on vacation because of high winds last week, Christmas week '25, and they had a dozen similar calls. My unit is very reliable and in great shape - no issues and it's heating fine again. My suggestion is if you use Chesterfield Service, do your homework, and get a second opinion before you accept their remedy. FYI my plumber said they would replace my unit with a new better unit for around $1600. WOW!

They took care of a big electrical job earlier this year and more recently we had them install a new hot water heater and fix a faulty valve under our kitchen sink. We’ve been thoroughly impressed with the service. Specifically, Patrick was an awesome technician! He came out on Christmas Eve to install water heater and New Year’s Eve to fix our sink valve. He was very friendly and explained things so we had a good understanding of the problem, solution and warranty for the work in the future. Would recommend this company to anyone needing any work done!
