I attempted to be a return customer after they redid one of my showers a couple years ago because the installation was done well and the product was nice. They cancelled both sales appointments I made at the last minute after calling ME demanding I be ready multiple times. The front end of this business really does the tradesman a disservice. I got an uneasy feeling from first phone call asking me about my windows and oh yeah we do showers to like it wasn't serious. 2 weeks later I got called back and had to tell them they lost $40k in business to another remodel company. The response gave a we don't care vibe. The whole experience vibe was that this wasn't a business serious or caring about what they did. I can't help but think the product/installation quality might also be a hit or miss. I must have gotten lucky on the first project or maybe this is just a really bad business model being used on the front end customer experience.

First I do want to mention that the sales team and especially the installer were amazing. Sales man even showed my son a new trick with the Yoyo he got for Christmas. So I dont want any of them in trouble. My issue is likely a design flaw and now I feel like the company sent them here to rip us off. We had windows installed by the nicest, and most professional tradesman I have ever run across (I'm a HVAC technician.) He went over everything with the wife and she was very happy with the install process. Where the issue is, is that we haven't opened these windows since they were installed due to us moving but somehow a Asian Beetle and Box Elder bug got between the inside window and screen. Discovered this when I came to get my furniture out of the house since we are selling. This is very disappointing and leads me to believe that that Mad City doesn't do everything they claimed they do during the manufacturing process. I built homes for 10 years and can tell you they look amazing and were installed correctly. I can't believe we spent 10,000$ for these windows that can't even keep the bugs out. If 2 bugs can get in that means air and moisture likely can too. What am I supposed to tell the people buying the home that will be picking up the rest off our loan amount? "Hey guys, I know we told you we had the windows replaced and they aren't even paid off yet but you might want to get a contractor to fix the issue or replace the affected window." Is that what you'd like to hear when spending your life savings on a new to you home? I can't recommend the product to anyone, the people however, they're great i can recommend them but no one wants to just have awesome people to hanging around especially if your paying them just to be there. I haven't decided to report to BBB yet as I want to have an independent inspection done so I can have a leg to stand on if the new home owners want me to escalate the issue. I wish I could have the people install the windows you can buy at Home Depot or Menards, since the window quality is about the same but it would likely be a third of the cost. Updated 10/26/25 new picture and more bugs up to 3 Asian Bettles and 1 Bow Elder. That's one new bug a day since original post. Windows are locked and screen in place.
