- ETElizabeth TheisenOct 29, 20251.0We hired Advantage to tear off and replace the roof on our mobile home lake place along with installing new gutters. First of all the roofing team was a nightmare! One of them even took a nap in the yard!! After they were done with the roof installation and all the clean up, I decided to mulch the leaves with my brand new riding mower. One of the roofers left an entire roll of roofing nails in my yard buried in the leaves. I hit that with my mower causing damage! When I notified them of this they were very sorry and offered to pay for any repairs. About a week later I went back up to the lake as the gutters were scheduled to be installed. My granddaughter and I got our stuff loaded into the house and turned on the furnace. After about 5 or 10 minutes we noticed the furnace sounded weird. I checked it and discovered the exhaust pipe was completely dislodged from the furnace by about 8 inches! I then also checked the water heater exhaust and that was also knocked off and dislodged! Thank goodness we noticed the unusual sound or we could have gotten very sick or worse from the carbon monoxide! I then called my heating and cooling guy to come fix it, which he did. He was in disbelief of what those roofers did! Advantage argued that they did not move those vent pipes when clearly they did! I saw them wrenching on that heating vent pipe when they were installing the roof. Anyway, after about a week of going back and forth on the phone with Advantage, they finally agreed to pay the bill to fix the vent pipe and send someone out to reroof around the repair. The gutter installation went great and the roofer they sent out to re-roof around the vent repair did a great job. My main contact through this whole thing was Kylee who I believe did all she could to get things resolved. I did ask a few times to speak to a "boss" but no one ever contacted me; just Kylee. Even though she was pretty good, I would not hire this company again.
