I hired Mid Michigan Glassworks to install a Kohler shower door. They installed it not level/out of plumb, chipped my wood door, chipped my tile and drilled 10 holes in my tile in the wrong location, among other issues. The door was very hard to open and close. The installers said "everything went good." The owner said that the installation was fine and there was nothing wrong with it and refused to correct/repair any of the issues he caused because "they were my fault." They cut the seal incorrectly and pieced it back together hoping I would not notice, and defeating the purpose of the door-bottom seal. When I called the manufacturer for help, they told me the door had to be removed and reinstalled because it was a safety hazard (the door guide overhung the bottom support by over an inch, clearly illustrated in the instructions as a hazard). I ultimately hired different tile and glass contractors to fix the problems. This is the worst company I have dealt with in a long time. They level of quality is awful and they do not own up to their poor quality work. I would give them negative stars if I could. I subsequently found that the state of Michigan sanctioned this contractor for not following codes and being unlicensed. Run far, far away from this company. Read the reviews and look at the past lawsuits!
