I had a great experience working with Robert and Jeff. Both were professional, knowledgeable, and committed to getting the job done right. This was a large, two-day project, and they handled it with focus and care from start to finish. Jeff was here for the first day, and Robert was here for both days. Together, they approached the work with diligence, care, and a strong work ethic. They communicated clearly, explained everything along the way, and made sure I understood the process. When needed, they consulted with their master plumber, Chris, which showed their commitment to doing the job properly. They were respectful, detail-oriented, and followed through on everything they said they would do. I’m very satisfied with the work and truly appreciate the effort they put into completing this project. Brian, the electrician, came out on short notice and was quick and efficient. He let me know the costs upfront and I was very satisfied with the result. Great staff and company!

Thank you, Flame, for sending Kyle W., and thank you Kyle for coming out after hours when we had an urgent need! Kyle was awesome. He listened to our concerns, thoroughly explained the issues (and re-explained as needed), and was patient with all of our questions. Our job could not be completed until the morning, but he told us everything we needed to know and what to expect until he returned - he even left a screwdriver here in case we needed it before he came back (we did)! He reassured us and made a very stressful situation tolerable. Side note: We also appreciated that heads-up text when he was on the way to our home. Thanks again to Flame to to Kyle!

We had Brian Y. the electrician come out to help with our hot water tank. Wasn’t too satisfied with his service. He needed to get to my circuit breaker and I have a shelf that’s right next to that so it’s hard to open the door all the way and he needed that shelf off but instead of asking, he just tries to pull the shelf off of the wall himself and I had to come to him and ask him what he was doing. When I told him it was bolted to the wall, he said OK let me see if I can do something else and then he comes back to it and then just starts taking stuff off and proceeding to pull it off the wall when it’s bolted in and again he didn’t ask. I thought that was really unprofessional and he should’ve communicated a little bit more. I don’t appreciate someone just coming into my house and trying to tear something off of my wall. Not to mention, he walked in my house with no booties on and I had to tell him to put booties on. After getting to the circuit breaker, he wasn’t able to see what he needed to, but didn’t even put my circuit breaker screws on just left it so yeah, it was very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend him ever again.

Today Zach came to install a shut off valve on our basement toilet as per Robert(from the previous visit and recommendation). The inspector and appraiser had been here as we are selling our home. The inspector noted smelling gas in our furnace room so we had DTE come check it out. Sure enough the fitting to the hot water heater had a slight leak as did our gas fireplace so we asked Zach if he could take care of all of it. He did it all and then some. The gas fireplace connection needed a little cleaning and sealant. The hot water heater a bit more replacement piping. All the while Zach was professional, with a great personality. Kind and patient and really listened. I’d be proud to be this young man’s mom. You should be grateful to have him on your team. Thank you for never letting us down. I will suggest your company for the new owners. We will miss your exceptional service. The last visit: Today Robert came to check out our leaky basement toilet. What a delightful young man you sent us. We are on the gold plan so the charge was minimal. But the service along with so much great information was stellar. We just sold our home as we upgrade to the old folks home. He gave us as well as the new owners several options with never any upsell pressure. Flame had never ever sent us any service expert we didn’t immediately want to adopt into our family. We will miss your faithful company and your amazing employees from reception to service over the last 20-30 years! Give this young man a gold star as well as maybe a raise?

The first part of my review of Flame Heating and Cooling is of Technician, Anna Szalma. She came out to give me a quote on a Furnace/AC install. Anna was great! She took her time, explaining what she was doing, then sat down with me to go over the different models/options available to me and the prices. I have a 729 square ft home, very small. Of the 3 HVAC companies I had come out to provide quotes, Flame Heating and Cooling was the only company that quoted a furnace with the proper BTU for my size home. The others quoted a 70,000 BTU unit.....too big for my size home. Tara Wells came out to do a 2nd opinion on diagnosing the heat exchanger on the furnace. I have a home warranty policy with Select Home Warranty. The tech they sent out 4 separate times (4AY.LLC Heating and Cooling) could not figure out what the issue was with the furnace. He even called the manufacturer for direction. When all was said and done, 4AY.LLC Heating and Cooling diagnosed the problem as a cracked heat exchanger, even though he had no clue what the issue was! In the situation of a cracked heat exchanger, the technician is to red tag the furnace and call the gas company to come shut the gas off to the furnace, neither of which did 4AY.LLC Heating and Cooling do! A cracked heat exchanger, the one component SHW didn't cover. How convenient. Tara was very knowledgeable, up front, professional, and a very nice lady. She spent 6 hours at my home working on the furnace, going through everything and being as thorough as she could be. Flame Heating and Cooling did all this at no charge to me. In the end, her professional diagnosis was there are no visible signs of a cracked heat exchanger, as I suspected. I highly recommend Anna Szalma, Tara Wells and Flame Heating and Cooling. They know how to provide exceptional customer service. SHW and 4AY.LLC Heating and Cooling need to take a lesson from Flame Heating and Cooling on how to provide ANY customer service. NEITHER OF THESE COMPANIES HAVE A CLUE! I don't expect to get anywhere with SHW and I will be canceling my policy with them, writing a negative review not only of them and their cheating, unfair practices, but will also issue a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General.
