- GHGlen Hampson4 days ago5.0On December 5th 2026, I called Richards & Swift to have someone come out and give me an estimate on a roof replacement. About 15 minutes later, I get a call from Jim Swift and he says he could come at 10:00am if I’m going to be home. Jim shows up on time and does about a 20 minute tour of my roof. He comes in and gives me a no nonsense quote of 3 prices…good, better and best depending on which shingles we decided on. A deal was made and the roof was installed 2 days later on December 7th. The dumpster, delivery of the shingles and the roofers all showed up before 8:30am. The crew worked long and hard all day and our home looks beautiful. Everything was picked up afterwards making sure it looked just as it did when they arrived. I would recommend this company with a 5 star review and would not hesitate to use them again.

- JCJohn CesalSep 14, 20255.0Everything impressed me about Jim Swift. Not just as a father who handles such things as house repairs, but as a construction professional, I know what questions to ask. What I really look for is someone who knows more about the subject than I do. I already had two quotes done - they walked around, got on the roof, etc. When Jim arrived to give me a quote, he knew within 2 minutes that there were two layers of shingles to remove. He knew it almost instinctively. The other two quotes, I asked them and they had missed it. Jim offered a fair price, offered to do it immediately, and suggested it was a one day job. He gave me the room to make a decision without any sense of obligation. He gave me samples, made suggestions, directed the project, stayed in communication. And of course, lastly, I have to give a mention to his staff and roofing team - AMAZING. They worked with diligence, integrity, quality, professionalism, and cleaned the entire area immaculate. Like they were never there. I only have to do this once hopefully, and this process was simply the best.
