  These people are borderline scammers. I hired them to inspect my chimney and while there was no issue with that work, they quoted me over $10,000 for the repair work. I've never owned a chimney and luckily decided to send their inspection report to other companies to get competing quotes. 2 other companies quoted me around $1,200 for the work! If you're reading this and find yourselves wanting a good company to do what they do at a reasonable price - reach out to Black Cat Chimney. Someone else in the reviews mentions them doing something similar to them. I would tread very carefully with these guys. My guess is they latched onto the fact that I had just moved into the area and had never owned a chimney and didn't get it inspected in my home inspection (house was too tall) and thought they could pull one over on me.

  We had Brickliners come out this summer and quote a bit of chimney work our chimney cleaner mentioned we needed. Not only were they the only company that we could find that could handle the project, they were also communicative, thorough, and took their time. It was an easy decision to agree to work with them and they completed the exterior projects at the beginning of the fall. Once again they were thorough and communicative through the whole process, starting with the office and all the way through to everyone on site. While we hope we don't need them back for many years, we will absolutely work with them again should the need arise!

  I’m not going to put a low star rating due to the fact that I haven’t had any work done by this company. But the lady answering the phone this morning was pretty rude, maybe she couldn’t understand me very well because I am currently fighting a cold, but her responses were short and not friendly. Also I’m pretty sure she lied to me or is unaware of where my town is, I was looking to have my chimney swept, I live in New Gloucester, which is in Cumberland County and according the your website you service this county, if you service Yarmouth and Freeport why would you not service New Gloucester? And after I stated in confusion that I was sorry (because she made me feel like I was bothering her) she just said “yup” and quickly hung up the phone.
