  The Powertech Electric crew just finished installing my whole house backup generator today. It was as straight forward and professional as I could have possibly hoped. When I requested a quote, they came in a timely fashion, gave me a clear explanation covering what all I would need done (and not need done as I had been told by another agency), provided a fair quote that was actually lower than I had budgeted for, kept in constant contact with me throughout the process, worked hand in hand with the company I had contracted with to do the natural gas work, and finished the project in short order. There were no hidden fees. Everything was as we discussed up front. As someone who was not familiar with contractors in Saint Mary's County it was a great experience to have this be who I chose to do the work. I will be recommending them to anyone who asks me about electrical work and using them for future home projects. Thanks again to the team.

  We had put this off since Irene & Sandy. We knew we needed to get it done, there is no better peace of mind than having back-up power to provide lights/heat/cooling & save the expense of losing your refrigerated and frozen food. Our initial quote was much cheaper than we anticipated and that made us go with the 10yr warranty. Staff (Brandon, Dale, Katy & others) were marvelous. You would think we were family, high school/best friends. Installation, hookup and show-n-tell were flawless. Thank You All SO Much! If YOU do not have a back-up source of power - CALL THEM! In the darkness, without heat & snow falling or daylight while the hurricane wails upon you is TOO LATE. Do not let your loved ones down, get a generator today, for tomorrow & peace of mind.

  Great experience with Powertech. Had them install a turn-key home backup generator. Simply remarkable how fast, easy and no-nonsense the install and for that matter, the whole process went. Made several calls for estimates and info, but when Brandon showed up on-site, it was a no brainer. He had to talk me through the process a few times because I just could not believe how fast and easy this install would be. Once I gave them the go-ahead, the process was quick and painless. Powertech handled every little detail, from the Power Company, permits and propane. The only finger I lifted was to open the door so they could get to the breaker box. Day-1: Generator Drop off. Day-2: Propane Tank Install. Day-3: Transfer Switch hook-up. Done. I only had to be there on Day-3, and even then, the techs made it informative and a joy to work with. What a clean, neat and tidy install. Will be working with them again. Highly recommend.
