I contracted with Sila in July, 2024, to install a new, top-of-the-line high-velocity heat pump in my home. The salesman said it would be a "night-and-day" difference with the prior system, and the cost matched: tens of thousands of dollars. From installation to August, 2025 (13 months) the system did not function well, even as well as the prior system they replaced. Service technicians were excellent, but the company dragged their feet, claimed the problem was our "expectations", and simply forgot to follow up on what turned out to be multiple warranty repairs. We therefore had no adequate heat or air for over a year. I documented the failures meticulously and repeatedly requested that Sila compensate for the time lost without adequate service as well as the enormous amount of time I had to spend pushing them to complete the contracted service. Numerous times they have said they would find a way to resolve this, only to simply fail to follow up at all. It's too bad because the service guys are outstanding, but I have no faith that the company is honest.
