  Sila has been the most reliable heating /cooling company we have encountered in the Boston area. Can’t seem to get ahold of anyone willing to come out except these guys. We started by using them for annual PM on our system but recently had an issue where the furnace went out with error lights. We called 7pm and they came out 8am the next morning. Brian, the very kind service engineer who came out, very quickly diagnosed the system had a crack in our heat exchanger (most expensive part to replace). Our system was aging (almost not quite 10years), he gave very sound, realistic advice on next steps. We ended up just replacing the whole furnace -which happened next day!! Incredible especially since coming up on a few days the temps are supposed to be negative degrees. We are very grateful for Sila, Brian and the crew who installed the unit fast, efficient and said they will be in touch to check on how it’s working after some time. I would DEFINITELY recommend.

  Beware! I have spent thousands at SILA last few years on a few new units and many repairs. This use to be a good business but since Goldman Sachs PE took over the company, services has declined to poor. I stayed home from work all day on Friday to meet a service technician on a new Unit SILA installed in 2023 that shut off during the extreme cold. The drain is incorrect & freezes and SILA installed it (the previous unit had no issue going back to 1989). The unit shuts off as the water backsup. Last summer they installed a bucket and said to simply disconnect the drain hose and manage the bucket (new unit worth thousands and I am draining buckets in sinks to keep heat on in the cold this is sub par). I literally waited all day on Friday, no one showed up, no one called, no one texted,they just did not show up. I tried calling and got an AI digital assistant that was garbage but admitted no real person would call until working hours. The AI did confirm my appointment and apologized but could do nothing. This was after multiple times of confirming the appointment. I am very disappointed with this company and am posting this so others can avoid getting scammed like I was. SILA rips people off with insane up sells and up- charges and than does not stand by it's work. I will never use them again.

  Easy online scheduling and when speaking with a representative to confirm the appointment details they were actually able to slot me in a few days sooner. Brian arrived on-time in the appointment window, quickly assessed the issue with my boiler, and got to work with the repair. Great communication and professionalism all around with Sila. I would definitely recommend them.

  Jaden came to the rescue once again! He went above and beyond to help us with our heating system issue and made the entire experience stress-free. He is incredibly patient, humble, and extremely knowledgeable. Jaden took the time. To thoroughly explain and walk us through the new thermostat system, making sure we were comfortable using it before he left. His professionalism and kindness truly set him apart. Highly recommend!

  My old AC/heat pump system stopped working at the worst possible time, during a cold snap. I called Sila for service and Zane, who I assumed was a technician, but then found out later that he's a salesman, came out to look at the system and told me I needed a whole new system - no surprise, it was very old. I opted for the $23,000 system (the cheapest one) and was put on the schedule for installation. There were some issues (electrical, beyond Sila's control) so they had to come back multiple times. The guys that installed the system were very good - but the lack of communication is not only stunning, it's inconvenient. I can't count how many times I told the office, Zane, the technicians, anybody that would listen, that I had to schedule roof access with the Building Manager (I own a condo with the heat pump on the roof) who also had to notify the City of Medford. The guys would just show up, or not show up when I was told someone was coming, or, the most aggravating - they would show up and ask me what they were there to do. Very aggravating and inconvenient. I had to keep working from home, only to have them not show up. I don't want the canned "Sila is dedicated to excellence, please reach out to our team, blah, blah blah". I am just giving my honest review so that others are aware when making the choice of who to use for a rather large purchase.
