Rob and his crew did a phenomenal job on our basement and also on our second floor redesign, which required taking down a wall. It was a tricky job that required an engineer and some naysayers, but Rob made it happen. On time, great work and a nice crew. We're extremely grateful. Thank you, you guys!!

We hired Rob to finish approx 600 sq ft of basement space in Mashpee. After getting multiple estimates we decided on Rob as he provided the most detail, best communication and a fair price. We were not disappointed. Rob delivered the project on time and as promised. Any issues that arose were handled promptly. From beginning to end it was easy to communicate with Rob and he kept us in the loop on progress and next steps.
Rob transformed our basement from dark unfinished space to amazing family room, half bath, and laundry closet that we have been enjoying ever since.

We hired Rob and his team to finish our basement. We are not from the area, but we had several houses in our neighborhood use him before us and they all had raving reviews. We still did our due diligence and got a few quotes before moving forward with Rob. He was courteous and professional throughout the whole process. He was easy to work with and was always a phone call or a text away if we had any questions. All of the subs he worked with were wonderful and professional as well. We love our new space thanks to Rob and his team.

How much does it cost to finish a basement?
In Massachusetts and much of New England, basement finishing typically costs between $25 and $45 per square foot, with an average of about $30 per square foot. This is considerably less than the cost of an addition, which starts at $150 per square foot. Smaller basements tend to cost slightly more per square foot, and elements like flooring, bathrooms, custom features, and bars can affect the overall cost.

Does The Finished Basement use pre-fabricated panels?

Our aim is to create a space that becomes an integral part of your home's living area.
How long will it take to finish my basement?
We typically complete basement finishing projects in approximately eight weeks. This means you could add about 1000 square feet or more of livable space to your home in less than two months. Unlike companies that use pre-fabricated panels, we construct a custom basement from beginning to end. We encourage you to contact us for a complimentary in-home consultation to discuss your project.
Will finishing my basement be a good investment?
When done professionally, finishing your basement can be an excellent investment. Many homebuyers in Massachusetts now expect finished basements. A professionally finished basement can significantly increase your property's appeal. While the financial return varies by region, in Massachusetts, you can expect to recoup approximately 89% of your investment. However, the true value lies in the improved quality of life and immediate expansion of living space at a fraction of the cost of an addition.
How can finishing my basement contribute to helping those in need in our society?
We're proud to donate a portion of our proceeds from each basement project to The Massachusetts Alliance for Affordable Housing. This non-profit organization is committed to rehabilitating and creating affordable housing for veterans, their spouses, individuals with disabilities, and others in need of assistance.
