- CPChristian Perry3 days ago1.0They send out amateurs that have no idea what they are doing. So we have a problem with our heat pump where the blower only works when the thermostat is set to not turn on the heat pump but just circulate air. The blower works fine in this state, but when you turn up the thermostat to turn on the heat pump, the condenser turns on and starts creating hot air but the blower stops. Their repairman first said we needed a new compressor outside but once I showed him that heat was arriving to the exchanger, he said we needed a new blower. That makes no sense to me if the blower works when the heat pump is off. Still they charged for the service visit but really had no idea what was going on. Thankfully I also have an oil burner with baseboard radiators. I will just go with that till I find someone competent.

I purchased the heat pump and Ecobee thermostats for two zones in 2021, apparently the heat pump is failing already. The HVAC mechanics were very capable and knowledgeable working with newer equipment. I appreciate the diagnosis.

Matt M was very knowledgeable and thorough, in determining which would be the best installation set up, for two different types of humidifiers, in order to provide an accurate quote. This enabled me to determine the best course of action.
- MUMeridith UngerDec 16, 20251.0I *really* wish I could recommend Blue Bear. Their employees are always so nice, professional, and kind. BUT their pricing is predatory at best, fraudulent at worst. Today we were quoted over $1,500 for a simple toilet replacement. The toilet itself was quoted at $300 (when it costs $150 at Home Depot) which leaves $1,200 in labor for a 2-3 hour job. That's $400-600/hour which is obscene. When I asked our technician to speak to his manager about it, they offered a $99 discount. Absolutely despicable.
