I got a price to put AC/Heat in my 35’X40’ Garage. The suggested 3 mini splits to perform what I would need, I asked about energy. They explained to me about how a Mini Split is such an energy efficient system because there is no duct work. There outside air to warm up and there is no. These guys were so easy to work with and I look forward to having them back to change the ac compressor for my house. They are 5 star Heatpro’s in my book!

How often should I change or clean my air filter?
Our technicians at HeatPro Heating & Cooling, LLC see a lot of emergency service calls resulting from dirty air filters. To safeguard the performance, efficiency, and lifespan of your system, checking or cleaning your filter once a month is recommended. Once every three months at a minimum is necessary if you live in a home with no kids and no pets.
What’s the best thermostat setting for energy savings?
To save up to 15% on your energy bill, the U.S. Department of Energy suggests a setting of 68 degrees for winter months and 75 degrees in the summer months.
How should I set my programmable thermostat?
To save energy and money, settings should not be kept at one setting and should be adjusted while you’re sleeping and while you’re away from the home for maximum performance. Looking for an easy way to ensure top-notch performance? Today’s smart learning thermostats do the job for you!
How often should my system be professionally serviced?
To avoid the need for emergency heating and cooling repair services, you should have your HVAC system regularly serviced in the spring and the fall before summer and winter temperature extremes put it to the test.
Do you have service contracts?
We do offer contracts to our customers. If you are over the age of 55, you can get our senior discount. With a service contract, you get priority service and a 10% discount on service calls.
Service contracts can result in:
• Cheaper utility bills due to improved HVAC system efficiency
• Comfortable indoor temperatures all year round
• Heating and cooling systems that last longer and require fewer costly repairs
• Quick responses to emergency HVAC failures (especially in extreme weather)
• Improved indoor air quality due to cleaner HVAC ducts, air filters, and coils
How much does a new HVAC system cost?
Because of differences in size (square footage), layout (single or multilevel), exposure, leakage, and other issues that affect HVAC sizing and cost, it is nearly impossible to put an exact price on a new HVAC system. Fortunately, you can get a free, no-obligation quote.
What’s the difference between ductless air conditioning and central air systems?
The typical central air conditioning system is split, with an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, conditioning and distributing air via ductwork in your home’s attic or crawlspace. A ductless or mini-split system is installed directly into the wall, with the indoor portion of the system connecting to the outdoor component via tubing. Each system has its own advantages and disadvantages, and it’s important to discuss these with a trusted heating and cooling professional before deciding which system is best for your home.
What can I do to make my air conditioner work its best?
Here are some tips for prime air conditioner performance:
• Keep the outdoor air conditioner unit clear of debris to maintain good airflow throughout the system
• Keep plants 18 inches away from your air conditioner so it can breathe
• Make sure vents on supply ducts and registers are always open and uncovered to maintain proper airflow throughout the home
• Change the HVAC air filter on a regular basis and check the air filter monthly to determine when you need to install a new one
How long does an air conditioner unit last?
HVAC systems in general usually have a lifespan of about 12 to 15 years, while we see some cooling systems last longer or fail sooner. Many factors can impact system lifespan, including equipment brand, system usage, and maintenance habits. So, if your air conditioner is at the 12 to 15 year mark, it might be time to start thinking about replacement.
When should I consider air conditioner replacement over repair?
Have you heard about our three-strike rule for keeping cool? Once you have had three or more major repairs done to your air conditioning unit, it’s probably time for a replacement. Many repairs are costly, and after many repairs, you start feeling it more in your wallet. Instead of spending money on countless repairs, a replacement will save you money and time in the long run.
