  Jose called to wish us a happy new year and to check in on the work they completed for my mom. Everything is holding up beautifully, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with JB West or Jose’s professionalism and care. I'm beyond thankful!

  At first we were pleased however as time went on things began to deteriorate. Refer to the letter below. Hello Melissa, Please forward this email to a supervisor or the owner. I called both numbers and left messages in regards to the letter you sent. This needs to get resolved. I am concerned though, as to why a Ridge vent was not installed from the very beginning. We have had your crew come out and repair the east side of the same roof, for a leak that occurred after the installation, and then there was an issue with not having a Ridge vent. And now you want to charge us another $450 for the Ridge vent. We put our confidence in your crew to install the roof the way it should be. By a professional. If I knew how to install a roof, I wouldn't have hired JB West. The installer should have assessed the roof and realized that there is a chandelier in that room and the possibility of wires near the ceiling. When they added the Ridge vent, they pierced the electrical line going to the chandelier which is now not functioning, and a dangerous situation. The way I see it, common sense would tell me that they should have used shorter nails. When I first informed JB West, Caprice stated to have an electrician come out for an estimate, and that JB West would work with us. We had an electrician come out and assess the problem however he is so backed up he has not been able to come out and fix the wiring from the switch to the chandelier. He gave a verbal estimate of $800 to $900 to repair the damage that your crew did to the wiring. From our phone conversation in November, JB West does not want to take the responsibility and pay for the damage that was done by their crew. I was under the impression the JB West was Bonded and Insured. I must have been misinformed. We now have a $450 bill for the Ridge vent, with your threat to be sent to collections, and $800 to $900 electrician bill for the damage cause by JB West. We have also referred multiple friends, and my own clients. To be treated this way, is very concerning.

  We just took our 5 star review down and deleted it. We had J.B. west install our entire roof and gazebo. We were very happy with this roofing company. A couple years later we noticed the dining room was leaking after a heavy rain. It wasn't every rainstorm, just a heavy rainstorm that lasted awile.We called the company and they came right out and said there were nails placed in the roof that should've been there and he repaired it.. He admitted it was their fault. Some time later we noticed dripping on our dining room table. We called the company back and again and they came out. They said a roof vent should have been installed at the time of the roof installation. Why didn't they tell us this at the time we had no idea we needed it.So we had them come out to install a roof vent. The next time, I go to turn my chandelier on and I hear the loudest pop and no electricity. We ended up calling an electrician, and he discovered that it was done when the roof vent was installed.They punctured the wires in the ceiling. He estimated between $850 to $900 to fix it.. JB is charging us for the roof vent and we have to pay the high repair bill. This is a big job for the electrician to take ceiling boards off and he couldn't do it that day.We have been without a light in our dining room for the holidays.This has been a big inconvenience for us. We recommended this company 5 times to people and they hired JB west. Somebody in my neighborhood was with a group of people at the beach and he was cutting down J.B.West and said they would never use this company.They saw we had a sign in front of our house representing this company. I went to bat sticking up for this company and telling him and everyone that we had a different experience. Not anymore! We will not be referring this company to anyone again! So upset & disappointed.

  Well I was needing a good job on my roof and called JB west but they didn't do a great job . They did a terrible job putting the water and ice shield down wasn't cut straight and cut too short . They put several wrinkles in the ice shield and just cut it and put a crap load of cap nails. I said something that this underlayment and ice isn't going to the edge so they only threw a scrap piece of water and ice on top a super unprofessional and lazy thing to do and not repaired correctly. They wasted like 3 or 4 bundles of shingles because I saved some of them and inspected them . I'm hoping my roof doesn't leak it wasn't a very good job done and has me worried. I shouldn't be worried I should feel confident that I have a new roof . There was exposed nails in my roof and I'm not sure my roof was even repaired properly at this point. They also were late . I just wanted a good job done I was really looking forward to it being done but ever since it's been done I've been looking for leaks and kinda worried about the quality. It doesn't look terrible but I'm worried about several things . I'm hoping the ridge cap doesn't leak on the ends because I think that isn't done right either I'm going to have it looked at.the cuts look large and longer inside my attic. If I could go back id probably call someone else so it was done right instead of giving me a slam rush job. I shouldn't have to baby sit or say anything to make sure I get a quality job. So if you hire this company be prepared to watch everything because if they can get away with cutting corners there gonna do it apparently. I just hope my roof is going to stay dry and the edge of my roof doesn't rot because there isn't anything really underneath the shingles on the side. Really let me down on the quality i got . And someone put a bunch of cap nails in my gutter I had more hangers but they just took the liberty to slam some cap nails in there . I'm just trying to be honest so other people don't have this problem.
