We found ourselves in furnace hell for a fourth consecutive fall/winter heat season. Cold temps would arrive, we'd switch the AC over to heat and sure enough, furnace problems. On a 9 year old (only 4 years old when we purchased the home) unit with all the bells and whistles no less. It was beyond frustrating. We made the mistake of continuing to contact the same company who did the install each fall when the furnace would fail to meet heat demands. Reliably, they'd come out, along with their sales team (who would come in a separate truck... that should have been a clue), and fumble their way through a service visit while also planting seeds for the next money grab with a subscription offering. Could be the pressure switch. Could be the thermostat. Could be the circuit board. We'd fork over money, the problem would be temporarily fixed, and then we'd be on countdown until either the same problem reared its head again or a new one.
So when we switched the furnace on this fall and once again had issues, enough was enough. We hopped on Facebook and Nextdoor and began seeking recommendations. Several appeared for Prestige and we decided to give them a call. Best decision we could have made. Joe came out the very next morning (we called the day before just prior to 5pm) and after examining the unit provided us with definitive solutions, both temporary & permanent. Joe was friendly and excellent with his communication in a NON-SALES kind of way which we truly appreciated. When my furnace is experiencing issues the last thing I want is to feel like I've invited a used car salesman into my home and Prestige is NOT that. They're a local company with an honest, upfront approach and I'm thankful to have contacted them. After weighing our options, and the impending cold weather temps due to arrive by the weekend, we decided to rip out the existing unit and have a new furnace installed. Joe was able to squeeze us in on short notice and most important, had us up and running with the new unit right before the cold temps arrived for the weekend.
We appreciated Joe's dedication to his craft, his customer service was top-notch, and we have found our heating and air company for years to come. One other consideration we appreciated was that Joe offered to bring back several space heaters for us to use in the home until install day. We were impressed. Solutions for our problem tailored to our needs at the moment we needed it. I don't typically write reviews, but Prestige is deserving and worthy of this one. We couldn't have been happier with their service.
