- LJLawrence JNov 14, 20255.0When the ceiling light stopped working and replacing the light bulb did not work I looked into the fixture. I found old wiring with the cloth insulation broken and bare wire visible. Old deteriorating wiring is not my kind of DYI project. My call to Sims was promptly answered and a service appointment set for this non-urgent concern. I got a text that the electrician was on the way. He came on time. We discussed my concerns. He evaluated the problem and made recommendations. He attended to the problem of old wires in the fixture, replaced the socket and vacuumed the area when he was done. The whole process took an hour. The service man was polite and courteous. Without knowing what another company would charge, the price for value is hard to know. It seems worth it given the value of not getting electrocuted or having the house burn down.

I hired Sims to do all the plumbing and electric work in my new construction home and shop which was the biggest mistake I ever made. My house has had multiple drywall, sheet metal, and concrete repairs done because they couldn't seem to put plumbing and electrical fixtures and pipes in the correct location. In addition to the extremely poor quality of work, they never showed up when they said they would which put our project months behind schedule. I would not recommend Sims to anyone for new construction.
