Bruce Electric has been with the Browning family since 1979. John Browning Sr bought the business from the Bruce family after being their employee for an extended time. He continued building the business reputation throughout southern Illinois. The company expanded to include residential, commercial and light industrial services. Johnny Browning bought the business from his father 10 years ago. When it was bought, the business relocated to its current location on East Main Street. He and his wife, Leah have two children, Hannah and Zechariah, and live within the Marion community. Leah is a school teacher within the Marion Unit #2 system and has been for over 15 years. Hannah is a current graduate of SIU-Edwardsville and will be returning home to teach for the Williamson County Special Education Coop. Zechariah is currently working for the family business and plans to continue with the electrical trade and become a third-generation owner.

Unfortunately, I contacted 2 other local electricians before calling Bruce Electric which cost me a week and a half without power. Once I contacted Bruce Electric, John answered my call immediately and came down the same day to get a material list together. My problem was fixed promptly the next day and I am ever so grateful for their kind, competent and prompt service! Thank you John and crew!

They set up and took down the scaffolding we rented and the job was done correctly and efficiently. They were friendly and knowledgeable and checked with us on the length of the chandelier chain to ensure that was what we wanted before they left. I highly recommend them!
