And overtime, due to foot traffic or sun damage, the flooring is one of the first things that will become worn or discolored. Depending on stains, odor and condition, you will most likely need to replace your flooring once every 10 years. And when you do, you’ll want to make sure that the quality and design are flawless. Precision Floors and Design is Garden City and Boise, ID’s premier flooring company. We specialize in providing high quality flooring products, premier design services and excellent workmanship.

Won’t return emails or phone calls for a quote. Google says your open Saturday 8-5, I got there just before 9 and no one was around and door says m-f.

Frequently Asked Questions About Precision Floors and Design

What is LVP and LVT

LVP stands for Luxury Vinyl Plank and LVT is Luxury Vinyl Tile. It is a multi layer wood/tile looking plank consisting of usually four layers. A high density foam backing, a core that is typically 70% stone and 30% PVC, a decorative layer which is a high definition print that comes in multiple styles and colors, and a final “wear” layer which gives it excellent durability. Which is a better option between solid wood floors and engineered wood floors?

Both are timeless and beautiful. More often than not, it comes down to what style someone is looking for. Solid wood floors have that “seamless” look but typically are sold in narrower widths due to stability, but can be re-sanded usually 2-3 times throughout the life of the floor. Engineered floors consist of a solid wood wear layer crosslayed onto typically a 6-9 layer plywood backing making engineered wood roughly 75% more stable than solid wood. This results in getting a wider plank look without sacrificing the integrity of the floor. Come chat with me to learn more about hardwood at our Meridian location!
