- BSBianca ShriverDec 16, 20252.0My mom has been dealing with sewer issues the past couple months or so. Sewer has been backing up into the basement. Well she called Howe and was said that “they don’t do any inside sewer work until there’s snow on the ground.” Well finally once it snowed they showed up. There is a deck around and above the septic tank so we needed to figure out a way to make an access. Once that was done, we called. Well now another problem, they are not willing to get the frozen lid off to pump out the tank. Instead they offered to charge $200/hour to chip at it and get it off. So basically they’re not willing to do much work at all to help out my 62 year old mother who lives on an acreage by herself with medical conditions. Everyone that can help can only thaw out the lid after working hours since we all have jobs. So we either leave the lid wide open for small critters and cats and or dogs to get into or we call at 6pm at night to get it pumped. I’m not please to say the least. For being a small town run company, this is not what I expected.
