  We hired Fletcher and his crew to repair a brand new deck rail system that was installed incorrectly. We ultimately opted to replace the whole railing given the state it was in and they did an amazing job. I cannot sing their praise enough. Very transparent about pricing from day 1. Highly recommend him for your home projects!

  Had Fletcher and his crew build a deck for my house. They not only did an amazing job, they knocked it out in one day! Actually, within six hours! I've seen other deck companies take weeks to build similar decks, but Southern Dreambuilders built a quality deck and they crushed it! Highly recommended!

  I have worked with many contractors in the past and I have never been so impressed as I have been with Southern Dreambuilders. If you want the white glove service that you expect from a general contractor, Fletcher is the gold standard of contractors. Throughout our basement finish, there were multiple upgrades we requested as we saw the project come to fruition, and Fletcher never seemed bothered, unlike other contractors, by the ad hoc changes and even went out of his way to accommodate them. One way you can tell how great a contractor is going to be is by how the subcontractors interact with the general contractor and Fletcher's subcontractors were not only cordial and hospitable to us, but they exuded the utmost respect for Fletcher and vice versa. I cannot say enough about how great Southern Dreambuilders was during our entire project and we could not be more ecstatic about the finished product.

  Updated review: May 13, 2024 Southern DreamBuilders @southerndreambuilders.com. The owner, Donald Fletcher, won the bid to demolish our upper deck and build a new extended deck. The new deck construction turned out better than expected. The professionals that built the deck and underdeck are talented, precise, diligent in their work—and friendly. The deck was completely torn down and rebuilt in three days including a new, wider set of stairs to the lower deck that expanded the usable space of that deck. New railings were built to match the railing on the downstairs deck. (NOT PRE-FAB) The under deck was installed in one day. When the wood is dry enough, the stain and paint will be completed including matching the lower deck to the new upper deck. Donald itemized his bid, and if any materials were less, the cost was adjusted. His communication regarding timelines is detailed. After paint job: We rated the work 5 stars prior to the final painting of the deck. We were not satisfied with the quality of the paint job, even after Donald had the painters return to touch it up. The paint is "thin" in many places so that the wood shows through, and we will need to hire different painters ourselves to fix the issue. Since we are happy with the construction, we're trying not to let our dissatisfaction with the paint override our overall rating, so we're giving 4 stars instead of 3 stars.

  Don Fletcher was diligent, and honest, and looked after my wife and I's interests like they were his own. That is what we all want in a contractor. We have the want, but he has the knowledge and the resources to do any project in your home. We needed a roof, foundation work, demo, and a basement apartment built - bathroom, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and living space. He was able to do all those things and save us so many headaches in scheduling, cost, availability, etc. There are always compromises through home projects due to how much you want to spend, availability, weather, etc. and he was always there with a solution and driving his subs to be there best for you. He is a dogged pursuer of your needs. We will be using him again and after a lifetime in this county, he gets our highest recommendation
