I had a very deceptive and frustrating experience with Action Plumbing Company. I was quoted a $145 service call fee over the phone, with the clear understanding that it would be applied toward the cost of any needed repair. A technician came to my home, assessed the situation, and determined it was actually a septic issue—not something they handle. No repair was done, and no plumbing service was performed beyond the diagnostic. However, I was later billed $495. I immediately contacted the company to dispute the charge and asked to speak with a manager or owner. I was told that no one was available and that the invoice would not be adjusted. I was only allowed to speak with front desk staff, who insisted on full payment and threatened to send the charge to collections. I ultimately had to pay a licensed septic company the next business day to resolve the issue, and I have receipts showing that the problem was septic-related. Action Plumbing provided no repair, no follow-up, and no transparency about the inflated charge. They also refused to provide documentation explaining how they arrived at the $495 amount. This is a predatory, bait-and-switch practice. I was quoted one price, received no service, and then was billed over three times what I agreed to. If you value honest communication, fair and transparent pricing, and ethical business practices, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Action Plumbing is a life saver! We had recently bought our home and needed our old, broken cast iron plumbing replaced immediately. We had a very tight timeline and Action came in with an amazing crew and finished the whole job in one day! We were able to move in with fresh plumbing, that has been perfect ever since. We are so grateful for Action Plumbing and would recommend them to anyone!

Chris and his associate were excellent! I called and they were here expeditiously! They were extremely professional and brought a good sense of humor to the situation of a busted water pipe and flooded house. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Frequently Asked Questions About Action Plumbing Company

What should I do in a plumbing emergency?

In a plumbing emergency involving leaks, sewage, or water, your first step should be to shut off the main water supply. Then, contact our team immediately. Don't delay calling us, even if you're dealing with the aftermath. It's also advisable to turn off your water heater. For electric water heaters, if it's safe, cut the power to preserve the heating elements. While waiting for our service, try to contain small leaks with towels or buckets. The EPA reports that 10% of homes waste 90 gallons or more daily due to leaks. To relieve pressure in your pipes, turn on an outdoor faucet. Always rely on professional plumbers to ensure the issue is fully resolved. Contact us for more information.

How long should a water heater last, and when should I replace it?

Our team advises that water heaters typically last between 8 to 12 years. Signs that it's time for a replacement include premature hot water depletion, rusty water, leaks, or unusual noises. We recommend planning for a replacement approximately every decade. Regular maintenance, such as flushing out rust, silt, and debris, can help extend your water heater's life beyond its warranty period. If you're experiencing water heater issues, don't hesitate to reach out to Action Plumbing Company for assistance.
