Griffin Lumber & Hardware is a locally-owned family business supplying lumber, building materials, and hardware to South Georgia since 1898. When our hardware shop started it began with milling logs to lumber. That continues today with our mill in Cordele, Georgia. Over the years, our company added retail lumber and building materials. - PLPaula LongNov 24, 20251.0I placed a special order for a slab door with the clear requirement that no holes be drilled, since it needed to fit a pre-existing opening. Despite this instruction, the door arrived with predrilled holes. Because of the holes, the door now does not fit and is not usable for its intended purpose. When I raised the issue, the seller stated they would not accept a return, even though i had explicitly communicated the requirement. They stated that I signed and agreed to the door. I expressed that, as professionals, they should have understood and ensured the order matched the specifications. I am now left with a special-order product that cannot be used and no resolution offered.
