They finally did it for $199 in 37 minutes. They do not disclose they have A $95 trip charge they try to charge you if you think there charges are too high. Can’t recommend even though they do good work.
- BLBarry LupiniDec 21, 20251.0I was in a bind. I had a hot water leak under my home. Dunedin Water was kind enough to call me and let me know that I was losing a 100 gallons of water per hour. If they didn't call I would never have known until I got my next bill. I called Friendly because of reviewing their reviews and because of them promoting they are a long time family business. Their technician Tom came for about one hour. He said we needed to get a camera guy to find the leak which made complete sense. Had to wait 2 days for him to come. Found the leak and marked it on the kitchen floor. He was there for less than an hour. I agreed out of desperation to have them fix it on the spot. Cut through the floor. Replaced about a 7 inch piece. Put a bag of quick dry cement. Took less than four hours. Total man hours. Initial visit 1 hour. Camera guy 1 hour. Fix the pipe 4 hours. 6 total hours. Materials. Piece of copper pipe and a bag of cement. $2495. I think it's safe to say now that this old guy who just recently moved here just got taken totally taken advantage of. Maybe a mistake on the pricing? I am asking to review my job and hopefully you did make a mistake on the pricing. For a company to call itself Friendly and family owned, you certainly weren't too friendly to my family. I can say that Tom was a nice man but he and his company should huddle together and do me right. I don't know even know if lawyers charge $400 an hour. When you need to make a quick decision you sometimes get burned. I fell for the urgency created.
