- JBJosh BrundageDec 30, 20251.0The service technicians have been friendly and professional, we have however recently had a very negative experience with the company as a whole. 2.5 years ago JS Watson installed a completely new a/c system for our home. They gave us three options: good, better, and best. We went with the “best option” they had, paid accordingly and they completed the install with no problems. We have used them since then for preventative maintenance as well as service for another unit we have. Now the bad experience happened over the last few days. On Christmas night our 2.5 year old A/C unit failed. We waited until the 26th and called for service. A technician arrived and stated the blower motor was bad, but he had the part and could replace it. He replaced the motor with one he had and bolted everything back together, only to find the motor was not a replacement and he did not have the correct one. We paid the diagnostic fee, and the tech left with our unit disassembled and a promise it would be fixed Monday. On Monday morning we received a call stating the part would not be available until Jan 2. Another disappointment, as they installed the unit but were not in a position to service it. The next day, Tuesday (4 days after initial call), they called and said they had the part to fix it. We received an estimate for 2 hours to install the new part. The new part was installed in about 40 minutes, but we were still charged for 2 hours of labor. We paid a total of $380 for a warranty part. When we contacted the company and the owner we were met with “you not having an air conditioner is not my problem “ “I didn’t build the motor or the unit, I just install them”. He cursed at us on the phone during this exchange. He stated that he was out $1200 until he could exchange the motor and how difficult Trane is to work with. Then why did you sell us a system made by them? This entire experience has been very disappointing and will absolutely be finding a new A/C service company.
