I called to schedule a maintenance appointment because my unit has not been serviced for a couple years due to Covid. I specified that my A/C is working fine, no problems, I was just trying to be proactive with maintenance and wanted to get back on a yearly maintenace contract. The day of my appointment, a guy arrived 3 hours early and said he was here to "take a look at my unit that's not working." When I told him everything was fine, he said he was told it was an emergency call and he wasn't here to do a routine maintenance call. He made a call to the office and then told me that he was only assigned to emergency calls and that the office would call me to reschedule my routine maintenance appointment. No one ever called. I made the appointment a week ago. How did my appointment get misinterpreted as an emergency call? Is that how long it takes to get a tech out in an "emergency?" Calling someone else. There are plenty of other, bigger A/C businesses to call. Really disappointed that this company bought out the original company that installed my unit.

This company must be buying reviews. Extremely rude techs show up to service the units. When installing ducts in my home they put a hole through our ceiling. We were told we would have portable a/c units placed in our home while the duct work and install were done and of course, we weren't provided with that until the last day of the install after fighting with the company about it. In the middle of summer. Please do yourself a favor and use any company but this one.

Poor customer service. After they convinced us to spend $9k on new ducts and $9k more on a new AC unit, they’ve been out 4 times to correct poor air flow in 3 bedrooms and still have yet to correct the issue. The last time I called the supervisor (Toby) said there was nothing else they could do with the issue. A few weeks ago our air went out, I called to schedule and no one ever showed up or called back. Please stay away from this company.

Timothy did a great job. He was here for regular maintenance check. He took video & pictures and text them to me so I can show my husband what he recommends having replaced. He gave an estimated cost of what is recommended. Timothy was very professional and very helpful! He took his time to explain everything and made sure I understood what he was taking about.

Frequently Asked Questions About Air Medics A/C and Heating, Inc.

Is it recommended to set up a service contract or preventative maintenance plan with my AC contractor?

Yes, establishing a service contract or preventative maintenance plan is highly recommended. These agreements offer numerous advantages, including scheduled maintenance to prevent unexpected breakdowns, prolonged equipment lifespan, enhanced energy efficiency, priority service scheduling, potential discounts on repairs, and peace of mind knowing your system is regularly inspected by professionals. Regular maintenance helps ensure your air conditioning system operates at peak performance, potentially reducing energy costs and minimizing the risk of costly repairs.

Why is it better to use a licensed AC contractor instead of my neighbor's brother-in-law?

Opting for a licensed AC contractor from a reputable HVAC company is crucial for several reasons. Licensed professionals have undergone extensive training and certification, ensuring they meet industry standards. They adhere to local and national building codes, carry proper insurance for liability protection, and use approved parts that maintain warranty validity. Licensed contractors also have access to high-quality equipment and parts, which can improve system efficiency and longevity. Choosing a licensed expert helps avoid costly mistakes and potential safety hazards associated with unlicensed work.
