  Hello Fortress Roofing and Construction LLC, my name is Maria de Jesus Cabanas Melendrez. I've been trying to contact you, but you're not responding to my calls, emails, or messages. I've been waiting for over six months since you collected the money at my house, paid by my insurance company, and you still haven't installed my roof. Even my insurance company has tried to contact you, and you haven't responded to them either. My insurance company paid you in full for the roof replacement. You were very quick to collect the money at my house, but for six months now, you've been giving me false delivery dates and dates when you'll install my roof, and there's always an excuse. The latest excuse was the government shutdown, which has absolutely nothing to do with it because you already have the money. I am very disappointed with this company, and I am ready to take the next legal step.

  As a Realtor, I work with contractors regularly and can confidently say this team stands out. They were extremely responsive, quick to schedule, and communicated clearly every step of the way. The pricing was very reasonable, the work was completed efficiently, and the quality was excellent. They showed up on time, handled everything professionally, and left the property clean when the job was done. I’ll absolutely continue recommending them to clients, friends, and fellow agents!

  Beware ☹️ The only positive part of my experience is that this company did help get my insurance to approve a roof replacement. Unfortunately, everything that happened afterward has been a nightmare. Do not sign their tablet even if they say its just so they can go on your roof…. you will unknowingly sign a contract without knowing you are doing it and you wont know the details that are included. Do Not Sign the tablet!! The contract doesn’t even have a price on it. Do not let them handle your insurance check. They told me they would mail The check from my insurance company to my mortgage company for me.. They actually deposited my insurance check into their own account without it being endorsed by the named parties and not made out to them. They were suppose to mail it to my mortgage company for endorsement. (I spent two weeks trying to figure out why my insurance company didn’t get it) The communication has been terrible. I have repeatedly been given installation timeframes and specific dates that come and go with no updates, no explanation, and no follow-up. I constantly have to chase them for basic information. It’s not even like they were upfront and said they were dealing with any issues or that it would take an extended amount of time. I was not even in a rush - But after everything that’s happened and the continuous miss of timelines I have lost all faith and trust. They cashed my insurance check in July, and as of today 12/19 I still do not have a roof or a new timeline. I’m incredibly disappointed and frustrated. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company proceed with extreme caution. Check the credibility of their other reviews and read the complaints and responses on the Better Business Bureau. The only thing that is a remotely true in those reviews is that Steven and Andrew are nice. Every single time a customer complains there is a response indicating that The customer was actually complaining about a prior roofer or the customer posted the review to the wrong roofing company. seriously, folks go read Better Business Bureau. i’m not sure if this is how they actually run business, if they are completely scamming me or if they’re in some serious financial trouble and trying to hide it. I recently saw another review out here indicating that the roofing material supplier was threatening to put a lien against their home because this roofing company did not pay for the supplies.
