- CEChris Elliott2 days ago1.0I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience with United Plumbing has been extremely disappointing and costly. 1. Toilet Installation Issue United Plumbing incorrectly seated a toilet in my home when it was built, which led to water damage in my entryway tile, bathroom drywall, and base molding. While they did send a remediation company to dry everything out, they charged me to fix and properly reseat the toilet—even though their mistake caused the damage in the first place. They never offered to cover the repairs or take responsibility for the damage they caused. 2. Booster Pump Installation Failure I also hired them to install a booster pump. It took two days and two different plumbers because the first installation was done incorrectly. The second plumber used plumber’s putty on the fittings—something the manufacturer specifically prohibits. Because of this, the pump couldn’t be removed properly. When the pump later began leaking, the fittings snapped off the inlet and outlet due to being overtightened and sealed with putty. This poor installation destroyed a $1,000 pump. I ended up purchasing a new pump and installing it myself after fixing all the plumbing connections that United Plumbing botched. When I reached out to the owner, he never returned my calls or texts. The only response I received was from a service manager saying she could “try” to get a warranty replacement—despite the fact that the manufacturer clearly states that using plumber’s putty voids the warranty. At no point did United Plumbing offer to replace the pump they damaged or refund any of the installation costs. Overall: United Plumbing’s workmanship has caused me significant unnecessary expense, and their lack of accountability made the situation even worse. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. If you value proper installation, honesty, and customer service, look elsewhere.
