Subject: Concerns Regarding Service Experience and Request for Resolution
Hello,
I wanted to provide feedback regarding my recent experience and request clear communication moving forward.
First, I want to acknowledge that the account manager was excellent—very helpful and consistent in keeping me updated. The service team also did a good job overall, although they left some debris around the house.
However, the remainder of the experience has been extremely frustrating. I selected your company even though I had other options, and I am now regretting the amount of unnecessary hassle I’ve experienced—particularly around a fee that was never disclosed and was added at the end.
After installation, I needed assistance with final touches on the windows. I had to call seven different numbers before reaching anyone who could help. Less than 48 hours after the windows were installed, the project manager informed me that a lien would be placed on my home. This was on Veterans Day, when I could not access the bank to make the cash payment. We immediately offered to pay by credit card the next day, but he claimed the company policy had “just changed,” adding a $250 fee.
This fee was never discussed or disclosed when we signed the contract. I contacted the salesperson, who agreed that we had not been informed of this charge. Ultimately, the company accepted the credit card payment and waived the $250 fee—but the situation created unnecessary stress and confusion.
Additionally, when calling headquarters for final service, I was hung up on multiple times. When someone finally answered, the individual was unprofessional and told me, “You will have to fight it out with them, not me, about the $250 charge.”
At this point, I am still waiting for the final service to be completed. I am requesting:
A clear explanation of what work remains and when it will be completed.
A detailed summary of the policies and charges the company attempted to apply, including why the $250 fee was added after installation.
Assurance that all agreed-upon work will be completed without further unexpected charges.
If this is not resolved promptly, I will be moving forward with reporting this experience to the Consumer Protection Agency.

The worst company you could choose. Communication with Sebastian Sanchez, the "field manager" in charge of the project, was terrible; he doesn't answer calls or texts. The installers wanted to finish the job in a single day, but what they did was a shoddy job. The finishes were horrendous and dirty, they installed the rolling door backward, and they damaged the ceiling with cement. The installation was in August, and they still owe me two screens in November. In short, the service was awful and of very poor quality.
After deciding to replace our kitchen windows with new ones we decided to remove our roll up hurricane shutters as well and install impact windows. Once that decision was made I picked up the phone to call Anderson Windows as they were the name I associated with hurricane windows. What a waste of time that was. After three attempts to talk with someone and never getting past the AI operator, I remembered seeing a company at the local Costco that was marketing windows and that was how I made my initial contact with FHIA Remodeling. After an easy phone conversation with them three days later Ramon was at my house measuring my windows and a deal was made. About 5 weeks later Joel called and we scheduled the installation. The following Monday Carlos and his crew showed up and installed the windows. Their work was outstanding as a lot of stucco work needed to be done on the outside after the removal of my old roll up hurricane shutters. Not only was their work pluperfect but they went out of their way to keep the dust and dirt down inside and after they left it was hard to tell they had even been there, the overall supervisor Matt showed up while they were here to check on them and make sure we were happy with the work and even stopped by two days later to make sure everything was still okay with us.
We will probably end up replacing a few more windows next year and there is no fobs who I will call, FHIA Remodeling. 👍

I purchased &18,000 worth of hurricane resistant slider and front door. The slider is wonderful, the front door-horrible. First of all it was put in incorrectly, then it leaked, MONTHs later supposedly it was repaired. Rained again, water came through again. I then started reaching out to people and their replies weren't great. I called someone to fix the door and over the phone he told me what was wrong because he had repaired some before. There was no caulking and the door was made and put in incorrectly. When he got here, everything he said was correct. He actually said I had a lawsuit because the door opening was incorrect. He had much to say about FHIA, so I don't get all these wonderful reviews.
