Frequently Asked Questions About Elite Crete Systems Florida

Are Epoxy Floors Slippery?

There are many varieties of epoxy floors, some smooth and glossy and others with texture built into them. The textured variety is used in areas that need more slip resistance, such as wet areas. Even higher-gloss smooth floors are not any more slippery than traditional tile floors and can be installed with a nonslip additive to increase the slip resistance.

Can Epoxy Flooring Go Over Wood?

Most all epoxies are made to be installed on concrete surfaces. Epoxies will typically bond to a clean wooden substrate such as plywood. There are also flexible epoxies that will allow for minor movement in a wood floor, but inspection of the existing structural components of the floor will need to be checked first.
