Led by Sue, Don and Trei, the team took the time to understand what we were looking for and had a custom design for us within 48 hours of Trei’s initial visit. Sue and company took great pride in giving us a high-quality basement at a very competitive price. We were especially pleased with their subcontractors who were highly skilled, punctual and exceptionally polite. All this and DCH finished right on the date promised. They earned our highest rating for going above and beyond.

I interviewed 5 contractors when looking to finish our basement this year and from the moment I met this family I knew they would be a good fit. Their price came in at fair amount (they aren't the cheapest, but who wants that!). Now what really impressed me is how responsive they are and the tight timelines they kept throughout the whole project. DCH pushed through our basement finish in just over 2 months, as promised, and it looks phenomenal. Sue was easy to communicate any field changes to and quick to get answers when I asked questions. The comprehensive contract they have you sign gives you peace of mind that you know exactly what you're getting. All of their subcontractors were professional and ultimately I am so glad we made the right choice of a general contractor. I would use DCH again in a heartbeat.

- LBLee BJun 10, 20213.0We Contracted with DCH Construction to finish our basement in early 2021. Overall I would recommend working with them based on our experience. It was not perfect but I would say it went reasonable well. What they did well ? 1. The plan Trei put together was great. He refined it several times and was always available if we have questions. He also incorporate some changes we requested later in the process. 2. They used great sub contractors that were helpful and able to explain what they were doing. 3. They resolved any issues that arose quickly and to our satisfaction. 4. The end product is exactly what we wanted and matches the original design. Where they can improve? 1. At times it felt like they were managing more jobs than they could handle. We would have appreciated a little more focus on our project. 2. Communication in general was poor. Sometimes there was no response at all. I never received a response to my final email ensure that they received the final payment. 3. Some items clearly communicate via email before work started were missed. 4. The quality of the paint is poor. Some areas were missed and only 1 coat was done. We will have to repaint some areas to account for this. Barely touching the wall in some rooms results in the paint coming off. 5. We had to push for some items found in the final walk to be done in a timely manner. The contract clearly stated the timing for this but DCH expected payment before these items were resolved.

The different sub contractors were all very complete in there part of the project. They did not take any short cuts and in some cases went the extra mile. Our basement came out better than we had hoped.
