  Can't say enough good things about Straight Line. Normally you expect to get quality work or a low price. Somehow Straight Line managed both. I had to replace my HVAC system and their owner Sydney personally came out to assess my system and needs. The other companies I got quotes from (who were also very highly rated) only wanted to replace my HVAC unit without paying any attention to the important details, such as my undersized return duct, poor air flow registers, and too small of unit support slab/rusting frame. It was clear Sydney was vastly more knowledgeable about what makes an HVAC system perform correctly. Straight Line's competitors just wanted to sell me a new unit and didn't want to deal with the details of doing the install right. The real surprising part was Straight Line's quote was thousands less, which included all this additional work of installing a larger return duct (which the other company wrongly said wasn't needed/couldn't be done), digging out and pouring concrete for larger slab with a custom fabricated new stand, installing new high flow intake vents, as well as making a custom intake box to fit between my narrow floor joists to support a larger diameter intake. Again all this for thousands less. Sydney regularly kept me up to date on the install timeline and took care of all the little details like the city permits and system testing. Needless to say I was more than happy with the quality of their work and attention to detail.  My system is now performing exceptionally. Sydney and his team of installers clearly take pride in doing the job right which I found missing from the other companies I contacted. Can't recommend Straight Line enough. If you're doing any HVAC work get them out to assess your needs, it will be clear they will get your job done right.

  Sydney, owner of Straight Line, won me over during our first meeting by being genuine, straightforward and not pushy in the least. We had interviewed other companies, so knew what we were looking for by the time of our meeting. His team is fantastic to work with: personable young men who come in, do their job, KNOW what they are doing, clean up and are off. It only took three days to install a new heat pump, replace all duct work and install an air handling system. The city inspector said it was the best work he had ever seen. We are super pleased with his understanding of our needs, direction given as to how we should proceed, the fact that he got in our home and completed the job in a short amount of time, and had all the inspections lined up for us. We have and will continue to recommend this company for high quality service, customer interaction and overall a fantastic job. We have dealt with many contractors over the years, with numerous houses being renovated, and Sydney’s company is at the top of the list for a job well done.

  Let the reviews speak for themselves! 5 stars all around. Sydney, Justing and the crew were all hard working and professional. We had awesome previous service from Straight Line for our heater last year. Due to the professional, respectful and value-for-the-dollar service received, we decided to call them again for a quote when our 28-year-old system stopped cooling during the recent heat wave in North San Luis Obispo county.They answer the phone when called and were prompt to help us get a new system installed. We received a top-of-the-line Trane system for thousands less than the other bids. We are comfortable again! Thanks Straight Line for coming through when we needed you!

  Sydney and his team could not have been more efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. They did an excellent job replacing our heating and air in a timely manner. I was impressed with how respectful they were of our home and me, as I was home while they did the work. And, their quote was less than the other companies in our area.
