When my landlord removed the asbestos from my building without letting me know in advance, I called this company for a second opinion. The person I spoke to was incredibly knowledgeable and patient--even though it was clear that there was unlikely to be any business forthcoming. Based on this experience alone, I would recommend this company.

We had some asbestos tiling removed from our garage and they did a great job. Area was properly sealed and signs were posted to keep people out. Very quick turnaround from getting a quote to doing the work which was nice as well since we were on a short timeline

Frequently Asked Questions About San Diego Abatement Services
What is asbestos, and why is it dangerous?
Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that was once widely used in construction materials due to its heat resistance and durability. However, when asbestos fibers are inhaled, they can cause serious health issues such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis. This makes it highly dangerous, especially during construction, renovation, or demolition when the fibers become airborne.
How do I know if my home contains asbestos or lead?
Asbestos and lead were commonly used in buildings constructed before the 1980s. Asbestos was
especially common in acoustic ceilings, drywall mud, flooring, pipe materials, roofing, and more.
Lead-based paint was used on a variety of painted surfaces. If you have an older home and are
unsure whether it contains asbestos or lead, an environmental consultant is recommended to test it. If results turn positive, we can meet your abatement needs readily.
What should I do if I need to remove asbestos from my property?
Give us a call! Asbestos removal should only be done by licensed professionals due to the
health risks and regulations. It is crucial not to disturb asbestos-containing materials on
your own. Contact us so we can safely remove the asbestos-containing materials, follow all
regulatory procedures, and ensure proper material disposal.
What is the difference between stabilizing lead paint and abating it, and which option is safer?
Stabilizing lead paint involves sealing or encapsulating the painted surfaces to prevent the lead dust or chips from becoming airborne. Stabilizing is a practical, less invasive approach when the surfaces are still salvageable. On the other hand, lead abatement requires complete
removal of the lead-containing material. Certified professionals should always be the ones to remove hazardous materials to ensure proper containment and disposal. Both methods have their place. Give us a call to find out which is right for you.
