  Went through SoCalGas to purchase a new tankless water heater & added installation. We were happy that Water Heater Warehouse (WHW) contacted us ASAP to schedule the install but they couldn’t install until 6 days out: Two days before, we panicked thinking we might need a permit. Called to ask if we needed a permit for the new tankless water heater so we called & spoke to Joey & he sounded unsure & said we don’t need a permit because our install wouldn’t have been scheduled if we needed one. Didn’t give me the warm fuzzies so I googled & per our city’s website, Yes, a permit & inspection was needed. We called the city & they were super helpful & reassured us that we can have the tankless water heater installed first & schedule the inspection later. So we called back & told Joey that yes, we need to get a permit & if they will be submitting the permit with their contractor number. He said yes. We were happy with the removal of the old gas water heater & install of the new gas tankless water heater by Chris & his apprentice. Both super nice. After the install, the tankless water heater took forever for the hot water to come on for showers, even when I turn on the recirculator on the app. So annoying & feel like we’re wasting so much water. We agreed for Chris to have it set to smart schedule where it will monitor our hot water usage for a week to develop a good schedule. 5 days later, we smell gas by the newly installed tankless water heater. Called WHW & Joey said to call the gas company. Gas company came out 4 hrs later & confirm that there indeed gas leak & he had to shut down the gas & tankless water heater. And told us to call the installer to come fix the leak. Just called WHW but of course they are closed & left a message with customer service. We thought it would go smoothly as they have great reviews but at this point, we would NOT recommend this company. Not sure if it’s a faulty unit or faulty install. I’ll update my review when we find out. We didn’t pick this company. It was through purchasing the tankless water heater from SoCalGas.

  My experience with Water Heater Warehouse was excellent and far exceeded my expectations, especially after a disappointing experience with my home warranty company, American Home Shield, which denied my claim. After shopping around, I called Water Heater Warehouse and spoke with Maria, who was amazing. She patiently answered all of my questions and even informed me about an Edison rebate, which was a huge help; saving me a lot of money. Shortly after, Eddie came to my home for the installation. The work was clean, professional, and efficient. He took the time to answer all of my questions and truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend Water Heater Warehouse to anyone in need of a new water heater system.
