  Anthony Curry was polite, courteous, and took the time to thoroughly explain all of our options so we could make an informed decision on what to do — which we truly appreciated, especially since we unexpectedly had to replace our water heater right before Thanksgiving.   Called Anderson Plumbing for a water heater that stopped heating - review the issue and inspect the system generally. The technician made no attempt to diagnose the issue. He immediately claimed the gas valve had failed and quoted $1,670 for a part I later confirmed costs $255. Said the part was not available locally and it is weeks away. He then pushed replacement options between $4,000 and $8,300 for a seven-year-old Rheem that is still under warranty. After he left, I followed basic troubleshooting steps and had the heater running again in five minutes. The visit focused on selling an overpriced replacement, not repairing the unit.

  We had our HVAC tune-up service today. The tech left greasy finger prints all over the access panel (see picture). All he did was take picture of our system and said we needed to get it replaced. He called a project manager who arrived within 30 minutes and gave me a quote for 42k to replace our current system with a heat pump system. No need for new ducts or electrical panels, so this price was just for labor, permit, and two 4 ton heat pumps. The quote was not itemized and this was after a $2k ‘discount’ for being members of their annual maintenance plan. The project manager then proceeded to tell me that if I waived the 3 day cancelation they could install on Monday and he could reduce to $35,980 because he had a job that they finished a job early and needed to get the crew on a project Monday to fill a scheduling gap. I felt pressured and the lack of transparency on the breakdown of cost of labor and the heat pump system made me feel really uneasy. I don’t doubt that we need a new system but the sales tactics and pressure was very unprofessional and I can see that a lot of vulnerable people with good credit ratings would end up using their financing option and just going for this type of sales tactic. Be careful and make sure you ask for break down if cost of labor vs equipment.

  I am very impressed with the service I have received from Anderson‘s heating and plumbing! Every person I dealt with, including Dan the first man who came out and looked at my system and explained to me all the things that were wrong with it and out of date. (The system is 25+ years old). I was also very impressed with Alison Romo, who helped me decide what I needed to replace, and how much I needed to spend. And finally, I was extremely impressed by the professionalism, the knowledge, and the care that Edwin Nunez, James Cloud, and Chris Griffith provided to ensure that my system is installed well and running well. I am very appreciative with the service I’ve received and the guarantees they provide regarding their work and the equipment.I would highly recommend Anderson Heating and Plumbing to other people.
