Owners Mike and Sharon Root purchased George Henry's in 1990 from George Henry Himself who opened the business in 1959. The owners and their team of plumbing and HVAC experts work with the belief that customer satisfaction, quality work, and quality products at reasonable rates are vital to making any business a success story. Locally owned and family operated, we have been offering consistent performance for over 33 years and over 60 years from the beginning of George Henry's in Payson AZ.     Was going to start out with a 5 star review, Tech named Rick and his apprentice came out and did a fantastic job examining everything related to my Furnace/AC, taking pictures, video and crawling underneath the house to examine there. Had issue with furnace not turning on and they diagnose the issue to the Inducer draft motor (combustion motor) and pressure switch and here is where things went south. Received 2 quotes one for entire full replacement which requires every from the circuit panel wiring to the A/C condenser cement pad to be replace due to new county codes. Second estimate was for the inducer motor and pressure switch but was told at the time it might not be able to be had as the unit is so old. The 2nd quote did not have a price for the inducer motor and when I talked to Rick at their office, I was informed that they cannot source the motor and there is no universal motor available. Since then I have contacted GH 3 times to advise them I have found the motor and pressure switch available at a supply house, in fact have found it at 3 places after a google search. 3 calls and no return calls. It appears they do not want the job of repairing it and would prefer I replace the entire system (split system, gas furnace and AC). By the way, I removed the inducer motor myself and took it apart and cleaned it and place a drop of oil at the motor shaft touch points and the unit is working, but I will confirm the motor needs replacing. I have a home warranty that will reimburse me if I use GH as no one is in network, but as it stands tonight, I will order a new inducer motor and pressure switch and repair it myself and not worry about being reimbursed. I will adjust my review if any I get any response and GH lets me know one way or the other if they want to do the repair or just let me do it. Next Day Update: Was contacted promptly this morning by owner and she explained what has been going on and apologized for my inconveniences I have been experiencing. She was not aware of my 3 calls over the past few weeks (which she will address), and I was able to provide the part numbers for the items we needed repaired/replaced. I was also able to explain I needed a detailed quote to perform the full repair and she said I should receive it this week. We are now moving forward and it was a pleasant discussion. Will update again once we move forward with performing the repair.

    Today's visit was my first contact with George Henry's Heating. My husband and I purchased our condo in May 2023; we wanted an inspection of air and heat systems. Dyllan was thorough and helpful in identifying the current condition of systems; showing pictures of areas of concern. Based on the information from today's inspection, we have scheduled needed work. We also purchased a one-year maintenance contract today. We are very pleased with George Henry's company.Thanks Dyllan!

    This is a review and recommendation for Rick at George Henry Heating & Cooling. Rick is a technician at George Henry H & C, he is very knowledgeable, professional and dedicated. We endorse him without reservation. We had asked for a quote to replace our air conditioning/heating unit. Rick arrived promptly and in uniform (shirt and trousers). There are very few techs, who show up easy to identify the company they work for by their appearance. After introducing himself and confirming the purpose of the visit, Rick went right to it. He identified quickly that our AC unit, and consequently the air return opening in the ceiling, is too small for the house square footage. He also advised us that the air flow in the current ducts is too low by taking a meter reading. In fact, each of his observations was based on readings from devices, not personal guesses. In our parting discussion, Rick noted in detail an additional aspect of our cooling system, which is no longer compliant with industry standards and how we could address it. Rick completed a fairly thorough investigation of our system and presented his findings and his suggested resolutions in a way we could understand. It's one thing to be a thorough expert, but it's quite another to be able to explain the findings in a way that the customer(s) will be able to make an educated decision how to proceed. We are very glad we spoke with Rick of George Henry Heating & Cooling!
