- ILIvo LucchittaDec 18, 20255.0A valve on the supply line to my water heater failed in the closed position, so I had no hot water in mid-December here in Flagstaff where the temps. get pretty low. Replacing the valve was not so easy because of residual water in the lines and the mess of pipes in the vicinity of the valve. So I called Intermountain and was able to speak with a person right away, no easy thing these days. The pleasant lady (Vanessa) was able to arrange a visit from one of her plumbers reasonably soon, given the time of the year, when lots of repair work is called for in this area. On the appointed day, Shawn, the plumber, showed up ready for work. I got along well with him and served as his assistant; the repair was done in reasonable time and the bill was also reasonable. I have finally found a reliable plumbing repair company!

He told me what the problem was(turns out he was 100% wrong) and that he couldn't do anything to fix it. When I asked how he knew that was the problem, he became frustrated and arrogant. So I had two of the landscapers(not plumbing professionals) working on my house rent a snake from Home Depot. They cleared the clog in 4 minutes. And the clog was nowhere near where Demarcus said my problem. If I had followed Demarcus's advice, I would have spent thousands of dollars unnecessarily to not fix the problem.

About a week after getting a quote for a new water heater my pilot light went out on a weekend. I called the emergency (on-call) line and left a voice message and never received a call back. They clearly do not want my business.
