  Michael showed up right on time. He was able to diagnose the leak problem and replaced the necessary parts quickly. In addition, the charge for this service/repair was very reasonable. I would certainly use Bert Black services again if needed.

  Very pleased with this company. I called this morning and they sent someone out this afternoon. Jeffrey throughly explained the issue, what was needed to make the repair, and completed the repair in a timely manner.

  Buyer beware: If you purchase an annual maintenance contract it is non refundable starting day one. They came out to service home standby generator. I knew I needed a new battery, but they quoted me an additional charge of $505.00 to replace a 12volt battery. On top of the $449.99 annual fee that I had just paid two days prior to the visit. So I call to cancel the $249.99 HVAC contract which they haven’t even made the first inspection yet, BOTH non-refundable. So I basically just paid them $700.00+ for an oil change on the generator. Expensive lesson!! ( also the tech blew the fuses on my generator system and bypassed with some wire and failed to inform me ) That will be money well earned for all the future bad reviews I give of Bert Black Company to as many people as possible going forward. Northside Power replaced the battery and found the rigged fuse situation and corrected the problem. Got me back up and running. Big thanks to Michael and the folks at Northside Power.

  Site volunteer contact found AC unit frozen. Selected off on thermostat and on, on fan to allow evaporator to thaw out. Went to condenser and found it still running. Opened breaker to stop it. After thawing, he turned breaker back on with thermostat off and condenser started again, even with thermostat removed, indicating to him that condenser contactor was stuck closed so turned breaker back off. When technician arrived next day, he replaced filter and turned breaker back on, assuming open breaker was the problem. Unit started and appeared to cycle properly. He also checked system pressures and determined they were slightly low. When site contact arrived, he explained the contactor issue, but technician didn't have a new one. He set up return trip but said it might be a week or two, and left without repairing unit. If contactor sticks again, the unit will freeze up again. Seems return trip should be sooner. $1100 estimate to add 2 pounds of coolant and replace contactor also seems excessive. That being said, technician arrived during scheduled appointment time although he didn't call site contact as requested, and started working. He was very friendly and explained what he had done.

  Annual Heating check. We just moved into our townhouse and had no idea about the condition of our heater. Jesse was the serviceman. He was very professional and showed us via a virtual pictorial all the internal workings of our system. He advised us of our repair options not pushing one over the other. A problem in the operations was corrected. Jesse was kind and accommodating. Thank you.
