  I have used Blake Brothers for several years now. Not for everything, but things I consider important. One of those important things was installing a heat pump water heater. I did enough research to know that there are some special considerations involved, and I believed they could take care of it. Two things, however, went wrong. First, despite the instructions showing otherwise, Blake Brothers decided to install it without venting it to the attic—and despite my repeatedly voiced concerns. (Turns out, I was right. More on that shortly.) Second, after about six months of error messages and one new control panel (installed under warranty), we (meaning the Blake Brother’s plumber with me standing there) discovered the water heater was not wired correctly at the initial install. Would that I could have back the hours I spent on the phone with Rheem’s technical support. Would that I could take back the drama of getting the new control panel. And would that I could take back all the very bad thoughts I had about Rheem as I tried to get the problems fixed . . . . It was all a source of stress that never had to be there. But, the new source of stress is that one of the senior tech support people (because, of course, I kept getting bumped up to senior tech people since my problems were weird) said the space it’s installed in is really too small. In other words, I still need to work on the attic venting thing. Suffice to say, I’m going to have to find someone else to solve that problem as my previous faith in Blake Brothers has given way to a healthy dose of skepticism.

  Justin did a professional job of assessing my homes capabilities of adding an additional natural gas line to fuel my greenhouse gas heater. He and his associate reviewed my current gas supply and accessories and provided a proposal to modify and enhance my gas system to accommodate an additional gas heater for my greenhouse. Unfortunately my current system would require an upgrade that would not be economically feasible. Thanks Blake Brother’s for your assistance!

  I was very impressed with the Blake Brothers heating and cooling technician, Alexander, who completed our residential checkup on two heat pumps. He was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough in his inspection. He took the time to explain what he was doing, clearly reviewed the condition of both systems, and offered helpful recommendations without any pressure. His attention to detail and respectful manner made the entire visit smooth and reassuring. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and I truly appreciate his expertise and excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

  I had an amazing experience with Blake Brothers and specifically Alex Patterson. He was very thorough with his work and was more than willing to explain both processes and expected outcomes during his time troubleshooting my hvac system. Unfortunately for me an older system finally decided to not function anymore but he and Jeff Tillman were more than helpful with finding a suitable and affordable replacement.

  After taking a quote from a big box store and finding that they couldn’t find a way to do my project earlier than six days hence, I called Blake on the recommendation of a friend. I was assisted by Kaymon Taylor and can’t say enough good things about the encounter. He provided an acceptable quote and agreed to do the job the same day. I was blown away having been without hot water for three days. To begin with Kaymon has superior people skills and quickly made me comfortable with a previously unknown company. He is a skilled and professional tradesman that is patient enough to answer every question to any required degree. Mine was a water heater replacement, in a hard to get to location, that was a bit of a puzzle to resolve. Kaymon quickly generated several options and explained the pluses and minuses of each. When a bobo occurred, and caused an unsightly blemish on a wall, he supported my suggestion for the resolution of the issue with which I was satisfied. I recommend Blake, with origins to 1884, and Kaymon Taylor in particular unreservedly.
