  Paid $50 for a quote to come instal a dishwasher that had plumbing already in place just needed to move the water line few inches because it was in a position that didnt allow the new dishwasher to slide into the cubby, quote was $1200 would not recommend to anyone, only reason for 2 stars is because they were able to come out the same day i called them.

  On Dec 24 at around noon my furnace stopped working. I called and they sent a technician out and replaced the igniter. I told the technician that the furnace wasn't throwing much heat and he said he turned up the gas pressure and left. Furnace runs constantly without getting past 20 C for around 10 minutes and then stopped.Charged me $611. I called for them to return and they sent out another technician on Dec 26. He got the furnace running, I asked him if he could get the furnace to put out more heat and he got it to mid 40 which is good. When he was leaving I asked what the problem was and he said that the wrong igniter was installed and I would get a call Monday with an plan to replace it. I also requested a call from an manager. If you want a company that has poor service, is dishonest and expensive then you found them. I talked to some of my neighbours and they have had similar experiences and have found other companies to do their service. Monday passed with no call.

  Good morning, the appointment with Stephen and his team went very well. He/they clearly explained what they were doing, and clear explanations of problems/code changes, etc. encountered and how they would be addressed. Stephen and his team also provided a clear debrief of what MIGHT occur with the new furnace as it started running for the first few hours.

  My only complaint is trying to book a service through the AI system. It did not work. I ended up calling again a day and a half later as no appointment was booked through the AI. I ended up needing to have a new furnace installed. The technician was clear with my options. The process was efficient and the employees kept me informed throughout the installation. From initial furnace check through installation everything went smoothly and professionally.

  I only have a couple of words to describe my experience with charlton and hill replacing my furnace... slimy and dishonest. Not only did they accidentally drill the wrong hole through the FOUNDATION in my house then patch it so poorly water was leaking into my basement from outside, they signed us up for financing of the furnace, stating flat out that it was a 5 year plan, then when they filed the paperwork, they put it in for a 15 year plan which by the end would have ended up costing us clost to $20,000 for an $8,000 furnace.... joke us on us, unfortunately we didnt catch this problem into 2 years into paying. So we wasted almost $2,000 that went just towards the interest of the furnace. When we brought this problem to the charlton and hill, they just told us the contract is already signed and there was nothing they could do. Ended up taking out a line of credit just to pay off the full amount of the furnace and started from scratch with payments. Pretty terrible life lesson for us to never, ever, use charlton and hill ever again.
