- APAndy PughNov 13, 20251.0Was a faithful employee, was early every day never late always helping setting this up if possible to help the morning rush to get started. I showed up no matter the weather snow didn't matter if was there to work. Was the oldest employee hired at time, being used to long hard hours in the oil fields i enjoyed loading unloading trucks and was the only person NEVER transferred out at least at the time of a few years. The Bosses broke protocol and business rules for management was suppose to chalk tires on trailers. Snowing horrible out, told to go shovel out between trailers and chalk them so I did, slipped on black ice shattered my femer and tibia, spent almost 14 months in boatload hospital was so badly damaged. Once home another year of rehab. Static nerve damage from accident set in, we lost our home, my wife and I was literally in the st at a salvation army place i was still in crutches and braces, hospital refused to help us and after a couple years refused to settle or help. Daughter moved closer and took us in, helped us to get back in our feet and get in ssdi we was basically just left to root we felt. Today over a decade later, every dime we get goes to food or rent, or son put a down on a small house for us, cheerleaders than rent but it's falling apart but better than street or taking away from grandkids to be taken care of. Our fridge is empty unless we get to a food pantry, although my medical insurance allows some food allowance, not much but something. Basically we have nothing, I'm 67 and have sold off everything of my wife's, mine and any of our passed parents items worth a dime to live. Hospital? A great place I thought to work at I loved it, shocked me, not bragging no, again I think was the long hard days in oil fields but being a though I was never transfered and was fought for to stay were I was because of my output and little to no item mistakes. After a couple years of beating us down they came up with a huge round number of $175,000 dolors. Sounds like a whopping a whopping amount lol, ummmmm after what my family has been through and because I never work again because of all the medical issues because of this and pain medication PLUS, it's to be paid out at $12,500

I can’t wrap my head around why a multi million/ billion dollar company places orders for supplies through delivery service apps and can’t tip the delivery driver who uses their own vehicle gas etc. to deliver these items. But customers who make less than $100,000 a year tip. I would expect more from a local company. We get a very small percentage of the delivery fee most of the time $2. I suppose this shouldn’t be shocking. But it is.
