I hired Caroline Fichter to do contract review for my business that involves coordinating retail products for multiple clients. She did an efficient and thorough job of reviewing my contract and was able to clearly state a few places that made my contract safer for me and more beneficial for everyone involved. I would absolutely hire her again.

I know Caroline Fichter because we have been opposing council on numerous matters. She is a fierce advocate, a natural in the courtroom, and well respected by her peers and judges. Even though not every matter moves to litigation, it’s important to have an attorney who is confident in trial, and that is Caroline.

We hired Caroline Fichter for a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) review and were deeply dissatisfied with the service provided. During our scheduled review call, it strongly appeared the attorney had only briefly glanced at our documents shortly before the meeting, lacking the preparation we expected for such a critical review. Furthermore, the call itself was unprofessional; the attorney took multiple breaks, disrupting the flow and making it difficult to have a productive discussion. After the call, we had crucial follow-up questions. Despite multiple attempts to contact Caroline, we received absolutely no response – she completely ghosted us. For this subpar review and nonexistent follow-up, we paid $2400. This fee was in no way justified by the poor quality of service and lack of professionalism. Then, two months after ghosting us despite numerous attempts to follow up with questions via email and voicemail, we suddenly received an email demanding payment for the invoice, accusing us of an 'oversight'. This was the first contact we'd had since the initial poor review. We felt undervalued and ultimately unsupported in a significant business decision. We cannot recommend this attorney for FDD reviews.

I retained Ms. Bundy Fichter for a contentious business dissolution dispute. She was very responsive and clearly knew what the important contract and business issues were. I appreciated her skillful approach at addressing what was really important. Her initial consultation showed me she was the right lawyer to help me through an emotional and difficult partnership dissolution. She reviewed the contracts involved and had good feedback for what to challenge and what to accept. She clearly understood the meta issues and goals, not just the technical contract issues. Thankfully, she was able to negotiate all issues and I was able to dissolve the business without having to go to court. I’m so thankful for her advice throughout the process and representation. She was able to expertly guide me through a difficult business dissolution. I’ll absolutely hire her again for business issues in the future.

For franchise expertise, Howard and Caroline should be the first and last attorneys on your list. Both of these wonderful advocates are responsive, thorough, and excellent in their work. They helped me through a very scary and stressful franchise battle which included prompt call backs and wise counsel. Caroline talked me through fear and frustration on quite a few occasions and helped negotiate an exit agreement that was both favorable and fair. At BLF, I was treated kindly and with respect. Pricing was very fair, too. I would never again sign a franchise agreement without them.
