- NCNicole CurrierDec 2, 20251.0I just closed on a home and this title company, by way of Team Taft,was the weakest part of the entire process. We opted out of their secure system and they ignored that request four separate times. Communication was sloppy, key emails left me out without explanation, we’ve yet to receive the recorders numbers(they sent it again through the secure system we opted out of). Their mistakes created unnecessary stress and wasted time. I would not use them again and strongly recommend choosing a different company.

Three things happened: First they gave me the incorrect amount of funds to wire transfer, which meant I had to rush and scramble to give them the correct amount before closing. Then the amount of closing costs decreased in the 11th hour and they failed to disclose this information to my lender and realtor, which would have been really helpful information to have as this could have been used for a rate buy down. Lastly, they failed to make it explicitly clear to me that I would owe a large additional sum of money in taxes before the end of the year as I was under a senior exemption, so I received a surprise bill close around $700 3 weeks after my move in day and given only 3 weeks to pay this before interest started to accrue. I do not recommend this company.
