  Long overdue review. We had been using Goodsell for almost ten years to handle our tax preparation. Last year, we had several errors that were found on our two previous years returns by the IRS. When brought up with Goodsell there was very little accountability and zero apology for their errors. The owner of the business even joked about the situation. It's unfortunate situation that could been handled much better with adequate customer service and some seriousness. We won't be returning.

  Had a 1099-G question involving family leave questions. Took the time to look. Took the time to give me the answers he felt were best based off what he sees. Really polite and kind. THIS is the person I'd want to represent my finances to any outside party and the person I'd want to work with. A+ for customer service first thing on a Monday no less.

  I don't like giving bad reviews. But this is way more important than rating restaurants. This review is long overdue, but I sold my coffee stand in 2017. Like many small business owners I LOATHE figuring out taxes and that's why I wanted someone to do it for me. I asked them if they would let me know any questions they had about all expense details and they said they would. In the end I paid around $450 for their services and ended up paying $7,000+ in taxes... Which I just assumed was accurate. Again-- the reason I went to them was because I don't want to think about numbers. In retrospect-- considering my profit margins were VERY small, and I only got $20,000 for the sale of my business... this amount seems inordinately high, especially considering I had to continue paying rent on the building even after I closed up shop. They never tried to inquire after my extra expenses and make sure they had covered the bases. And to my fault--- I never followed up and made sure I asked them to do so. That is my fault--- but at the same time-- I've had accountants that have cared to guide me and help get me the best service and try to get all the bases covered (which is what a professional should do- in my mind). In the end-- I definitely won't be going back to them, and I wouldn't recommend them. I didn't feel like that had any personal interest in looking out for me or trying to help me and for that price... (considering my modest coffee stand numbers) I felt like I got a little screwed over. Maybe a lot. I don't know.

Goodsell & Asso of Everett are friendly, reliable, competent and still have that small town business atmosphere where "Customers Matter"...You're not just a number with them! They actually answer their phones & if you do have to leave a message, they get back to you quickly. Thank You for your many yrs of Great Service! Christopher & Debora
