We were hit at a stand still by another Geico member going 50 MPH and the claim process has been AWFUL! Car claim was easy, injury claim has been horrible, the adjuster Chris is ruthless and dishonest. this process has truly shown us how little Geico cares about their members.
- KMKaitlin MurrayJun 6, 20251.0I was in an accident in Dec 2023 where a deer hit me. I filed the claim and chose Caliber Collision for the repairs. No idea why I chose them but the representative said it would be easier bc they work directly with Caliber. Worst mistake EVER. I had to bring it to Caliber Collision 3x because my bumper was never repaired correctly. The 3rd time it was there, they got WHITE OVERSPRAY all over my BLACK truck. Geico allowed me to go to another shop (Rick Hendricks) to have the bumper repaired and overspray removed. I dropped it off a 4th time and for some unknown reason they lied to Geico and said there was no overspray so only the bumper was repaired. Geico sent someone out to my house to look at it and take pictures. I got a call from Jim Fore the next morning telling me it is indeed overspray and I just need to call Hendricks to set up a drop off time and they will remove it. I just went up there a 5th time today and met with Geico and the shop manager Chad, whom BOTH agreed my entire truck was covered in overspray, but bc I didn't notice it right away they can't be sure it happened in the shop. The truck is a leisure vehicle only driven minimal mileage on weekends. I also live on 4.5 acres so unless the paint sprayed down from the sky it's absolutely impossible and very obvious it happened at Caliber Collision. So the Geico manager basically told me they weren't doing anything about it.. funny because I was supposed to drop it off but see how that worked out? My husband and I both left work early and they waited until I drove 45 min (1 way) to tell me they weren't fixing it?!? Insurance is THE biggest scam and now I know why Geico is so cheap. You pay insurance to repair your vehicle, you don't expect to get it back with someone else's paint all over it and then have them point the blame at you because they don't want to pay for the shops mistake. I came home and canceled my policy immediately! The representative I spoke to was very nice and agreed with me 1000%. Imagine having to bring your vehicle in 5x for the same accident/claim and getting it back with someone else's paint!!! What did I pay for? I found better coverage with a more reputable company and a cheaper rate with all the discounts. Stay away from Geico. They are HORRIBLE. They also fired thousands of their employees with no notice. I really don't know how these ppl sleep at night. I really don't.
- NTN TodayJun 5, 20252.0I have had Geico a long time and been happy... until there came time for a claim. This was an open- close case, with all parties having Geico insurance. Its been almost 2 months and the injury claim adjuster has never called when he said he would, only when we have called and/or included supervisor.Supervisor never returns calls and now it's been another 2 weeks without contact. I expect an insurance company to cowbell the settlement but to not even provide updates and settlement offer is beyond me. I will be leaving Gieco after this.
