Today, I had to pick up a UPS box that I had delivered to the Staples location. I'd never chosen this delivery option, so I did not know which in-store kiosk I was supposed to report to. I got little help from the staff, as I was erroneously told by 3 different workers to report to three different stations, each with a line. I ended up at the combination Service Desk/one-and-only register that was open. The senior citizen woman stuck with working Customer Service and the register was clearly displeased with her job. She readily conveyed her annoyance and displeasure to every customer she sloooowly served. On an unrelated note, as I was browsing the store, I noticed a discernible section in the back office chair display area that had a very offensive and shouldn't-be-there odor. That section smelled like a combination of fermented sweat socks, wet carpet, and the start of a mold problem. The odor was extremely grody and I felt like the store should've done something about whatever caused that smell before it started smelling like that. I couldn't wait to get out of the store. I do not plan to return to this Staples location again, unless I have some kind of pencil or folder emergency.
